Calls, SMS and voicemail
Listen to your voicemails
The Voicemail menu collects the messages callers leave you, with an audio player and an automatic written transcript when one is available.
Updated on October 27, 2026
Voicemails left by callers are in the Voicemail menu. You can play each message right in the app and, when available, read an automatic written transcript.
Listen to a message
- In the left menu, click Voicemail.
- Click the message you want to hear.
- In the Recording block, press play on the audio player.
- Read the message in the Transcript block.
What the list shows
For each message, the list shows:
- the caller’s number;
- an excerpt of the transcript, or No transcript;
- the date, time, and duration;
- a Read label once you’ve listened to it.
Message details
Clicking a message opens three blocks:
- Voicemail details: date and time, duration, and the caller’s phone number;
- Recording: the audio player;
- Transcript: the text of the message, or No transcript available.
FAQ
A voicemail has no transcript
Some messages don’t have one: the list says No transcript and the details say No transcript available. You can still play the message in the Recording block.
Can I listen to my voicemails on my phone?
Yes. The Skipcall mobile app, on iOS and Android, brings together calls, texts, and voicemail. See the mobile app.
How do I call back someone who left me a message?
The caller’s number is in the message details. Dial it with the dialpad, or find the call in your call log and click Call.
How is this different from the voicemail drop in sequences?
The Voicemail menu holds the messages people leave for you. A sequence’s Voicemail if answering machine setting does the opposite: it automatically drops your prerecorded message on your prospects’ voicemail. See sequence call settings.
