Manage phone numbers

Assign a Skipcall number to a member, add your personal number and get an additional number: where phone numbers are managed in Skipcall.

Every Skipcall number is linked to a workspace and assigned to a member, who uses it as their caller number. You assign numbers from Settings > Assigned numbers (whole organization) or Configuration > Phone Numbers (the open workspace).

Assign a number to a member

From the organization

  1. Open the profile menu (your name, bottom left) > Settings.
  2. Under COMPANY, open Assigned numbers.
  3. For the number you want, pick the Workspace.
  4. Pick the member under Assigned to.

From the workspace

  1. Click Configuration in the left menu.
  2. Open the Phone Numbers tab (“Manage the phone numbers assigned to this workspace”).
  3. For each number, pick the member under Assign to a member.

What the assigned number is for

The member uses it as their caller number:

  • in sequences, in the Your number field of the Call settings
  • in the Dialpad, where the header lists their Skipcall numbers

Normally, it’s also the number where they receive calls, text messages and voicemails.

See your own numbers

Each user can find their numbers in Settings > My phone numbers (under MY ACCOUNT):

  • Numbers assigned by SKIPCALL: the Skipcall numbers assigned to you
  • Personal number: a number of your own, such as your cell phone

Add your personal number

  1. Go to Settings > My phone numbers.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the number in international format, for example +33612345678.
  4. Confirm.

Get a new number

FAQ

My rep has no number under “Your number”

Check that a number is assigned to them in Settings > Assigned numbers (right Workspace, right member under Assigned to). If no number is available, contact the Skipcall team through the chat.

A colleague has left. What happens to their number?

Reassign it to another member in Settings > Assigned numbers or Configuration > Phone Numbers.

What format should my personal number use?

The field requires international format, like the example shown below it: +33612345678.
