Manage members, roles and licenses
Invite members, change their role, assign or remove a license and control which workspaces they can access: managing members in Skipcall.
Updated on October 27, 2026
Members are managed at two levels: the organization (profile menu > Settings > Members) for invitations, roles, licenses and workspace access, and the workspace (Configuration > Members) for each person’s role in that workspace.
Organization level: Settings > Members
Open the profile menu (your name, bottom left) > Settings, then Members under COMPANY.
At the top, a badge shows your plan and how many licenses are in use (for example “STARTER 2/4”), next to the Invite button. The table is split into two groups, ACTIVE and INACTIVE, with these columns:
- Member: name, email and role badge
- Status: Active or Deactivated
- License: No license or an available license, with its remaining quotas
- Usage: calls, text messages and automations used
- Workspace: the workspaces the member can access (multiple choice)
- ⋮ menu: Edit, and Deactivate account or Reactivate account
Invite a member
- Click Invite.
- Enter their Email.
- Pick a Role: Admin, Member or Manager.
- Click Invite.
The full setup (license, workspaces, phone number) is covered in Add a sales rep.
Change a member’s organization role
- Open the ⋮ menu on their row.
- Click Edit.
- Pick a Role: Admin, Member or Manager.
- Click Save.
The same window lets you update their first name, last name and email.
Give or remove access to a workspace
- Open the Workspace column on the member’s row.
- Check or uncheck the workspaces you want.
- Click Close.
Licenses
A license is a paid seat assigned to a member. Every active user needs one. Licenses form a pool at the organization level and are assigned one member at a time.
- Assign a license: in the License column, pick an available license.
- Free up a license: set the member to No license. The license becomes available for someone else.
- Track usage: Settings > Usage shows one row per license, assigned or not, with its call, text message and automation counters for the current billing cycle.
Add licenses
- Go to Settings > Licenses, on the tab for your current billing cycle (the − and + buttons only work on that tab).
- On the plan card, click + as many times as you need.
- Review the summary and enter a promo code if you have one.
- Click Confirm and pay.
- Assign the new licenses in Settings > Members, License column.
Plans and prices are on the pricing page; the Settings > Licenses screen is the reference. For a custom plan, contact the Skipcall team through the chat. See also Plans and quotas.
Workspace level: Configuration > Members
This tab shows who can access the open workspace. Columns: Member, Role (Admin or Member), Status (Active or Deactivated) and a ⋮ menu.
- Change the workspace role: ⋮ menu > the other role (for example Member for an admin).
- Remove someone from the workspace: ⋮ menu > Remove from workspace.
- Reactivate a deactivated member: ⋮ menu > Reactivate.
- Add a member: pick them from the “Select a member…” list, then click Add. The list normally shows organization members who aren’t in this workspace yet. Someone completely new must first be invited in Settings > Members.
The role and status shown here apply to this workspace only and can differ from Settings > Members. For licenses and account activation, go by Settings > Members.
FAQ
A colleague has left the company
In Settings > Members, open the ⋮ menu on their row and click Deactivate account: this cuts off their access. Remember to reassign their phone numbers, sequences and tasks. To free up their license, set them to No license.
I’m out of licenses
Buy more in Settings > Licenses (see above), or free one up by setting a member who no longer needs it to No license.
What exactly can a Manager or a Member do?
The app doesn’t spell this out on screen. For a specific question about a role’s permissions, contact the Skipcall team through the chat.
