The contact record holds everything you know about a person. To open it, click the contact’s row in Contacts: it opens in a side panel.
The header
At the top of the record you’ll see the contact’s name, company, job title and the Create a task button.
The five tabs
Details
- The Number of calls and Last call line (or N/A if the contact has never been called).
- Phone 1, with Call and SMS buttons.
- First name, Last name, Email (with a copy button, or Enrich if it’s missing), Company, Job title, City, Country, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales, URL and your custom fields.
- The Edit button.
You can’t change a contact’s tags from the record.
Tasks
Tasks linked to the contact. Check Show completed tasks to see finished ones too, and click + Create to add a new one.
Sequences
The sequences the contact belongs to. If there are none, you’ll see a message saying no sequence was found.
Calls
Your call history with this contact. If you haven’t called them yet, the tab says there are no calls so far.
Notes
Click Create a note and start typing. The note saves on its own as you type (a Saving… indicator appears) and is titled with its date and time. You can collapse it, and its ⋮ menu offers Pin and Delete.
Edit a contact’s details
- Open the contact’s record.
- Click Edit to open the contact editing window.
- Change the fields you need. Next to Phone 1, the trash icon removes the number and the + button adds another one.
- Click Save (or Cancel to discard your changes).
The editing window also has a checkbox to mark that the contact doesn’t want to receive calls, for when a prospect asks not to be called again. For details on how it applies to your sequences and calls, contact the Skipcall team through the chat.
Create a task from the record
- Click Create a task in the header.
- Give the task a Title (required), for example “Follow up on pricing”.
- Add Notes if you like.
- Pick the Reminder date (today at 9:00 AM by default) and the Owner.
- Click Create task. A confirmation tells you the task was created.
