Notifications, banners and alerts
Where to find your Skipcall notifications, and what to do when a banner says your CRM connection dropped or the app is reconnecting.
Updated on October 27, 2026
Skipcall keeps you posted in three ways: the Notifications panel, short pop-up messages in the top right corner, and banners at the top of the page when a connection drops.
The Notifications panel
Click Notifications at the bottom of the left menu. The panel has two tabs:
- Unread: new notifications, with a count. When there’s nothing new, it tells you there are no unread notifications.
- Archived: your notification history.
This is where you can follow your contact imports, for example: one notification while the list is importing, and another once it’s done.
Pop-up notifications
Short messages appear in the top right corner of the screen:
- Action confirmations, for example when a sequence or a task has been created.
- New audio device detected, when you plug in a headset or microphone. The Use button switches to that device. The message disappears on its own after about ten seconds.
While it’s showing, the audio device notification can cover the buttons in the top right corner (Filters, Add contacts, Create a task…). Wait for it to go away, or click Use.
The “connection interrupted” banner
A pale yellow banner appears at the top of your workspace pages when the connection to your CRM breaks. For example, it may say your Salesforce connection was interrupted because the integration was revoked, and that contact sync is paused.
This means the authorization you gave your CRM has expired or been revoked. To restore it:
- Click Reconnect now in the banner (or open Configuration > Integrations and click the CRM’s gear icon).
- Follow your CRM’s authorization window.
- On the same integration screen, check the Last sync time.
- If needed, click Force a sync, then Sync. That button stays grayed out while the connection is in error.

The “Reconnecting to server…” banner
This banner means the connection between your browser and the Skipcall server was briefly lost. Once it’s back, a green banner confirms you’ve reconnected.
If it doesn’t go away, these steps normally sort it out:
- Check your internet connection.
- Reload the page.
- Check service status from the profile menu > Status, or directly at status.skipcall.io.
If the problem continues, contact the Skipcall team through the chat.
Common questions
I can’t find a notification I received earlier
Open the Archived tab of the Notifications panel: your history is there.
A button in the top right corner is missing
It’s most likely hidden by the “New audio device detected” notification. Wait about ten seconds or click Use.
