Call a number with the dialpad

Use the Skipcall dialpad to call or text any number, and choose which of your Skipcall numbers the other person will see.

Updated on October 27, 2026

To call a number that isn’t part of a sequence, use the Dialpad: a dialer you open from the bottom of the left menu. You can also use it to text the number you typed.

Open the dialpad

Click Dialpad at the bottom of the left menu. A floating panel with a green header opens. To close it, click the cross in the panel’s top-right corner.

Place a call

  1. Open the Dialpad.
  2. At the top of the panel, pick the Skipcall number you want to call from in the drop-down. That’s the number the other person will see.
  3. Type the number you want to call, using your keyboard or the keypad.
  4. Click the phone icon in the green circle to start the call.

What’s in the panel

  • Your caller number, at the top: the list shows the Skipcall numbers assigned to you.
  • The input field: it accepts digits plus the *, #, and + signs.
  • The keypad: keys 0 to 9 (with their letters), *, and #.
  • Three icons without labels, below the keypad:
    • the message bubble, to text the number you typed;
    • the phone in the green circle, to call;
    • the backspace arrow, to delete the last character.

Send a text from the dialpad

  1. Open the Dialpad.
  2. Type the recipient’s number.
  3. Click the message bubble icon.

From there, it works just like the SMS module. See send an SMS.
