Connect Salesforce to Skipcall

Connect Salesforce to Skipcall through secure authorization, set up the sync, and reconnect the integration if its key becomes invalid.

Updated on October 27, 2026

Salesforce connects to Skipcall through secure authorization (OAuth): you grant access in a Salesforce window, with no key to copy. A wizard then walks you through the sync settings.

Before you start

  • Your Salesforce account needs permission to connect external apps.
  • You need to be an admin of the Skipcall workspace you’re connecting.

Step 1: start the connection

  1. In Skipcall, click Configuration in the left menu.
  2. Open the Integrations tab.
  3. On the Salesforce card, click Sign in.

Step 2: authorize Skipcall in Salesforce

  1. In the window that opens, sign in to Salesforce.
  2. Grant the access Skipcall requests.

You’re then taken back to Skipcall automatically, on the setup wizard.

Step 3: set up the sync

  1. Contacts: map each Skipcall field to a Salesforce field. To skip a field, choose Don’t sync.
  2. Users: link each Skipcall member to a Salesforce user. The Auto-map by email button does most of the work.
  3. Tasks: choose whether to import your Salesforce tasks.
  4. Calls: choose whether to attach your call recordings to the activity created in Salesforce.
  5. Sync: review the summary, then click Start sync. Your contacts start importing.

The management screen

In Configuration > Integrations, click Salesforce’s gear icon. The Salesforce Configuration screen shows:

ItemWhat it’s for
Last syncHow long ago (for example “3 months ago”) and the exact date.
Synced contactsNumber of contacts that came from Salesforce.
Force a syncRuns a full sync right away (Sync button).
ConfigureRevisit the integration settings.
Disconnect integrationCuts the connection. Contacts are kept but no longer synced.
Sync historyEach run with its status (Completed or Failed), contacts imported and updated, and the error message if it failed. The See more link shows older entries.

Reconnect Salesforce

If the authorization expires or is revoked, you’ll see several signs:

  • a pale yellow banner at the top of the workspace pages: Salesforce connection interrupted, saying your Salesforce integration was revoked and contact syncing is currently paused;
  • an Invalid key badge on the integration card;
  • an Authentication problem alert on the management screen.

To restore the connection:

  1. Click Reconnect now in the banner, or Reconnect with Salesforce on the management screen.
  2. Grant access again in the Salesforce window.
  3. Check the Last sync.
  4. If needed, click Force a sync, then Sync.

FAQ

The history says my API key is invalid or has been revoked

The sync failed because the connection is no longer valid. Reconnect Salesforce as described above, then run Force a sync.

Do I need to connect Salesforce in every workspace?

Yes. Integrations are set per workspace, so connect Salesforce in each workspace that should sync. For the big picture, see CRM integrations.

Reconnecting didn’t fix it

Read the latest error message in the Sync history, then contact the Skipcall team through the chat and include that message.
