Native integration
Skipcall and HubSpot: the phone system that feeds your CRM
Your calls become activities on the contact record, with the recording, the transcript and the summary. What your team said on the phone stops living only in the head of the person who called.

In brief
- Yes, Skipcall integrates natively with HubSpot. No development, no third-party connector, no app to install.
- Every call becomes a dated activity on the contact record, with its duration, its outcome, its recording, its transcript and its summary.
- The sync is two-way and in real time: you call from a HubSpot list, and what happens during the call comes back into HubSpot during the call.
- A contact missing from HubSpot is created automatically and attached to its company.
- Setting it up takes about five minutes and needs nothing from your vendor.
Why it matters in HubSpot
HubSpot is the CRM where the timeline is the record of truth. An email files itself there, so does a meeting. The phone still depends far too often on the goodwill of the rep: they log it, or they do not. Three months later the timeline tells an incomplete story, and nobody knows which of the twenty attempts actually happened.
The problem is not laziness, it is arithmetic. Logging a call takes about thirty seconds. Over sixty calls in a day that is half an hour of typing, which nobody will do at the end of a prospecting session.
The native integration removes the trade-off: the call reaches the record on its own, along with what was said.
What lands in HubSpot
✓The outcome of the call
Answered, voicemail, wrong number, refused, meeting booked: the status chosen updates the record without anyone typing it in.
✓The recording and its transcript
The audio and the full text of the conversation stay readable from the record, without switching tools.
✓The AI-written summary
The key points in a few lines, attached to the record. It is what the colleague who picks the account up six weeks later actually reads.
✓The date, the duration and the caller
Every call is dated, timed and attributed. Activity becomes measurable without anyone declaring it.
Where the information goes
HubSpot has its own vocabulary, and the integration follows it rather than imposing another. Every element finds the object it belongs to.
| HubSpot object | What attaches to it |
|---|---|
| Contact | the record of the person called, created if it does not exist |
| Company | the organisation the contact belongs to |
| Deal | the opportunity the call relates to |
| Call activity | the call itself, dated, timed and qualified |
| Note | the summary and the notes taken during the conversation |
Getting started
Allow five minutes. There is no bespoke development, no package to deploy and no file to prepare.
- Connect your HubSpot account From Skipcall, you authorise access to HubSpot in a few clicks. No development, no app to deploy from the marketplace, no file to prepare.
- Choose what gets logged Recording, transcript, summary, call outcome: you decide what reaches the HubSpot record and what stays in Skipcall, in line with your internal policy.
- Call from your HubSpot lists A HubSpot list becomes a call session. Activities are created as the session runs, not at the end of the day.
What it changes day to day
For a marketing and sales team that runs everything from HubSpot, the benefit is not measured in features but in conversations recovered. Three situations come up again and again.
- A colleague picks up an account. They read the summary of the last call on the record, instead of ringing a prospect who has just explained their situation to someone else.
- An activity report gets built. The number of connected calls per rep exists as data in HubSpot, not as an end-of-month declaration.
- An objection keeps coming back. The transcripts are searchable: you find the exchanges where it appears and fix the script, instead of debating it from memory.
20 to 25
calls an hour when dialling by hand
60 to 80
with a power dialer, one number at a time
150 to 200
with a four-line parallel dialer
Those rates are exactly why automatic logging matters: at twenty-five calls a day, a rep can still write things up by hand. At a hundred and fifty they will not, and the data in HubSpot becomes wrong without anyone noticing.
Before you switch recording on
Recording a call requires a documented lawful basis under the UK GDPR, information given to the people concerned beforehand, and a defined retention period; PECR governs the marketing calls themselves, and the ICO is the supervisory authority. These duties apply even when the recording is only used for internal training. The settings are configurable, so they can follow your own policy.
Beyond HubSpot
HubSpot covers marketing and sales. If your organisation also leans on other tools, the three other native integrations are Pipedrive, Salesforce and Attio.
What syncs, whichever tool you use, is set out on the CRM integration page. An open, documented REST API connects Skipcall to the rest of your systems, and the MCP connector opens your call data up to an assistant.
For what gets said once the line is open, the call script library gathers twenty ready-made frameworks. Plan details are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Do calls appear in the HubSpot timeline?
Yes. Every call becomes a dated activity on the contact record, with its duration, its outcome, its recording and its summary. The timeline then reflects phone activity the same way it reflects emails.
Is there anything to type in again after a call?
No. The outcome chosen at the end of the exchange updates the record automatically. Re-entry is precisely what the integration removes, and that is why the data stays reliable as call volume grows.
What happens if the contact does not exist in HubSpot yet?
The record is created, attached to its company, and the call is logged on it. You do not have to prepare your database before calling.
Does the sync work in both directions?
Yes. You call from a HubSpot list, and what happens during the call comes back into HubSpot. The two tools stay aligned with no export or import.
Do you have to install an app from the HubSpot marketplace?
No. The connection is made from Skipcall by authorising access to your account. There is no package to deploy and no approval to request from your administrator.
How much does the HubSpot integration cost?
Nothing beyond your licence. It is included from the Starter plan, at €75 per licence per month, from a single licence and with no commitment.
