Skipcall and Salesforce: calls in your standard objects

Your calls become tasks on your standard objects, from lead to opportunity. With no bespoke development, and without touching the configuration your administrator spent months stabilising.

In brief

  • Yes, Skipcall integrates natively with Salesforce. No Apex code, no package to deploy, no custom object to create.
  • Calls feed your standard objects: lead, contact, account, opportunity, and are logged as dated, qualified tasks.
  • Your existing dashboards keep working, and become more reliable since they rest on real activities.
  • The administrator stays in control: you choose what reaches Salesforce and what stays in Skipcall.
  • The connection takes about five minutes. The real delay comes from your internal approval rules, not from the tool.

Why it matters in Salesforce

Salesforce is the most heavily configured of the four CRMs, and often the most closely watched. It is also the one where activity logging feeds dashboards the leadership genuinely looks at. Missing data therefore does not stay harmless for long: it produces a false report, on which somebody decides.

The opposite risk is an integration that intrudes too far. A package that creates objects of its own, an automation that clashes with yours, and the administrator spends the week repairing things.

Hence the constraint this integration sets itself: feed the standard objects without imposing anything on the existing model.

What lands in Salesforce

The outcome of the call

Answered, voicemail, wrong number, refused, meeting booked: the status chosen updates the record without anyone typing it in.

The recording and its transcript

The audio and the full text of the conversation stay readable from the record, without switching tools.

The AI-written summary

The key points in a few lines, attached to the record. It is what the colleague who picks the account up six weeks later actually reads.

The date, the duration and the caller

Every call is dated, timed and attributed. Activity becomes measurable without anyone declaring it.

Where the information goes

The integration follows the Salesforce vocabulary and its cycle: a prospect starts as a lead, becomes a contact attached to an account, then carries an opportunity.

Salesforce object What attaches to it
Lead the prospect not yet converted
Contact the person attached to an account
Account the organisation
Opportunity the open deal
Task the call logged as an activity, dated and qualified

Getting started

Allow five minutes. There is no bespoke development, no package to deploy and no file to prepare.

  1. Connect your Salesforce org From Skipcall, you authorise access to Salesforce. The integration works on the standard objects: it needs no deployment and no Apex development.
  2. Scope what gets logged This is the step that matters most here. You decide what reaches Salesforce and what stays in Skipcall, in line with your data retention policy.
  3. Call from your list views A list view becomes a call session. Tasks are created as the session runs, with their outcome and their duration.

What it changes day to day

For a structured sales organisation, the gain is less about the comfort of the rep than about the quality of what reaches the leadership team.

  • Activity reports stop being declarative. A call logged as a task is a dated fact; a call typed in on Friday evening is a reconstruction.
  • Conversion becomes readable stage by stage. The number of attempts before a lead converts is measured rather than assumed.
  • Handing over a patch loses nothing. A rep who leaves no longer takes the history of their accounts with them: the summaries and transcripts are on the records.

20 to 25

calls an hour when dialling by hand

60 to 80

with a power dialer, one number at a time

150 to 200

with a four-line parallel dialer

Those rates are exactly why automatic logging matters: at twenty-five calls a day, a rep can still write things up by hand. At a hundred and fifty they will not, and the data in Salesforce becomes wrong without anyone noticing.

Before you switch recording on

Recording a call requires a documented lawful basis under the UK GDPR, information given to the people concerned beforehand, and a defined retention period; PECR governs the marketing calls themselves, and the ICO is the supervisory authority. These duties apply even when the recording is only used for internal training. The settings are configurable, so they can follow your own policy.

Beyond Salesforce

If your organisation also leans on other tools, the three other native integrations are HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio.

What syncs, whichever tool you use, is set out on the CRM integration page. An open, documented REST API connects Skipcall to the rest of your systems, and the MCP connector opens your call data up to an assistant.

For what gets said once the line is open, the call script library gathers twenty ready-made frameworks. Plan details are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Are calls logged on leads or on contacts?

On both, depending on where the record stands. A prospect not yet converted gets the activity on their lead; once converted, it moves to the contact and the account, then to the opportunity if there is one.

Is Apex development or a package needed?

No. The integration is native and connects to your standard objects. No bespoke code, no deployment to schedule with your administrator, no custom object to create.

Do existing dashboards keep working?

Yes, and they become more reliable. Calls appear as dated, qualified tasks: activity reports rest on real records rather than on end-of-week declarations.

Does the administrator stay in control of what is logged?

Yes. You choose what reaches Salesforce and what stays in Skipcall: recording, transcript, summary, call outcome. Internal policy takes precedence over the default settings.

Is the existing configuration modified?

No. The integration writes into the standard objects without touching your model, your validation rules or your automations. That is the constraint this integration sets itself, because a stable Salesforce configuration represents months of work.

How much does the Salesforce integration cost?

Nothing beyond your Skipcall licence. It is included from the Starter plan, at €75 per licence per month, from a single licence and with no commitment.
