CloudTalk alternatives: 8 solutions compared (2026)

This page gathers what a decision maker needs to know before choosing: who CloudTalk is and how solid it is financially, what its users actually say, where the data is hosted, what a licence costs once the add-ons are switched on, and the criterion that really separates call centre software from a prospecting tool.

The essentials

  • CloudTalk is published by CloudTalk s.r.o., a Slovak company founded in 2016 in Bratislava, which claims more than 5,500 customers in over 100 countries.
  • It is rated 4.4 out of 5 on G2 and 4.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot, where 16% of reviews are one star and deal mainly with billing and support.
  • CloudTalk does offer a parallel dialler, but as a paid add-on at €39 per licence per month, on top of the plan price.
  • Call recordings and AI data are stored in Germany. Other data may be stored in four AWS regions, including North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney.
  • The Expert plan requires three licences minimum. The lower plans start at one licence, but none includes a parallel dialler without an add-on.

The 8 solutions at a glance

Eight vendors compete in this market, with positionings that have little in common. CloudTalk holds a particular place: it comes from inbound call handling and added parallel dialling on top, as an add-on.

The market splits into two families. On the left, inbound call handling: CloudTalk, Aircall, Ringover. On the right, prospecting diallers: Nooks and Orum for the American market, Flunter and Minari in France. JustCall and CloudTalk try to cover both, the latter by billing the prospecting side as an add-on.

Skipcall spans both. The same platform equips prospecting teams with the four-line parallel dialler included from the entry plan, and every other employee who simply needs a line with a seat at €15 per month. What Skipcall does not do, on the other hand, is inbound call routing, IVR and queues: on that ground, CloudTalk keeps the advantage.

Who CloudTalk is

CloudTalk is published by CloudTalk s.r.o., a company incorporated under Slovak law and registered with the Bratislava commercial register, where it has its head office. It was founded in 2016 by Martin Malych and Viktor Vanek, claims more than 5,500 customers in over 100 countries and employs more than 140 people across several offices, including Prague, Barcelona, London, Lisbon, Munich, Toronto, New York and Mexico City. The company has raised $36 million since inception, including a €26 million Series B closed in January 2024 and co-led by KPN Ventures and Lead Ventures. This is not a fragile vendor: it is an established European publisher whose product starting point is simply different from yours if you run outbound prospecting.

What users say

CloudTalk scores well on both main review platforms. What matters is therefore not the average, but the nature of the reviews that pull it down.

G2more than 1,600 reviews
4.4/ 5

This is a solid rating, earned on a large volume of reviews. International coverage, ease of setup and the breadth of the integrations come up regularly in the positive feedback.

Trustpilot785 reviews
4.1/ 5

The average is still good, but the distribution is polarised: 66% five-star reviews and 16% one-star reviews. The latter rarely concern the calling features and almost always billing, refunds and support response times.

Breakdown of the 785 Trustpilot reviews

Recorded on 3 September 2026

5 ★66%
4 ★13%
3 ★2%
2 ★3%
1 ★16%

Two thirds of customers give the top rating, which points to a product that delivers day to day. The sixth of reviews at one star is about something else: the contract, billing and support. That second category is the one to read before signing.

The annual commitment and the no-refund rule

The terms and conditions provide for billing in advance, with no refund and no credit for months started or time left unused. This is the grievance behind most of the one-star reviews on Trustpilot. So the point to check before signing is not the product, but the length of the commitment and the renewal date.

The contrast between sales and support

Several reviews describe a responsive sales process followed by slower support once the contract is signed, with long resolution times on technical incidents. That weighs heavily for a team whose entire day depends on the phone.

The real price once the add-ons are included

The power dialler, the parallel dialler and conversation intelligence are billed separately, at €15, €39 and €9 per licence per month. A plan advertised at €29 ends up at €77 for a fully equipped prospecting team. The gap only shows when the quote arrives.

Bugs and an interface seen as dated

Part of the negative feedback mentions application errors and an interface perceived as ageing. This type of review stays in the minority against the total volume, but it comes back often enough to belong in an honest assessment.

Where the data is hosted

A European publisher does not necessarily host all its data in Europe. It is the point most often missing from comparisons, and the first one your legal department will raise: call recordings contain personal data, sometimes sensitive.

CloudTalk

Germany, then four AWS regions

The privacy centre states that call recordings and AI data, transcriptions included, are stored in Germany. Other data may be processed and stored in four Amazon Web Services regions: Frankfurt, North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney. Standard contractual clauses cover each subprocessor. The platform is certified SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001.

Skipcall

Scaleway, France

Hosting is handled by a French cloud provider, which places all processing under the GDPR and European law, with no transfer to a third country and no reliance on standard contractual clauses.

The real cost of entry

The advertised price and the price paid differ, because of the add-ons billed separately and the minimum number of licences imposed on the top plan.

TranscriptionAdd-on at €9 per licenceIncluded

On this ground the gap is small: €15 against €19 per licence, and neither plan includes a dialler. The difference comes down to transcription, included on one side and billed at €9 on the other, and to the absence of an annual commitment on the Skipcall side.

Once the add-ons are included, the two licences end up at the same price level: €77 against €75. CloudTalk advertises more simultaneous lines, Skipcall includes everything in a single plan with no annual commitment. The decision therefore turns on the structure of the offer and on hosting, not on the amount.

What to check before switching

01
The annual commitment and the no-refund rule

CloudTalk bills in advance and grants neither refund nor credit for the period left unused. Note your renewal date before doing anything: it sets the exit window, and cancelling mid-term does not recover the balance already paid.

02
Your list of active add-ons, line by line

Power dialler, parallel dialler, conversation intelligence, voice agents: these modules are billed separately and do not appear in the plan price. Pull out the real invoice, add-ons included, before comparing anything at all. It is the only amount that counts.

03
Number portability, country by country

CloudTalk offers local numbers in more than 160 countries. If you have opened numbers in several of them, portability follows neither the same procedure nor the same timeline everywhere. Deal with the main number first, the one printed on your sales material.

04
Exporting the recordings stored in Germany

Ask for an export of the recordings, transcriptions and call logs while the account is still active, and check the format you get back. A lost history cannot be rebuilt, and it carries part of the value of your customer relationships.

Business phone system or prospecting tool: how to decide

The two families of tool do not solve the same problem, and buying the wrong one is expensive: either you pay for inbound modules nobody uses, or you ask a switchboard to dial fast. Four usage profiles, what each one really requires, the criteria that separate them and the trap that goes with each.

1Profile 01Reception and the switchboard

What this use requires: routing calls, not dialling them.

  • Check that the IVR supports several menu levels and different opening hours
  • Ask what happens when nobody picks up: forwarding, voicemail, overflow to a mobile
  • Count the seats you genuinely need, including those that almost never call out

The trap.Paying for a full licence for a seat that takes three calls a week. On this profile, the invoice is set by the price of the cheapest line, not the richest one.

2Profile 02Support and customer service

What this use requires: queues and measurement.

  • Check automatic call distribution and the skills-based assignment rules
  • Insist on per-queue statistics: waiting time, abandon rate, first contact resolution
  • Check the integration with the ticketing tool, not only with the sales CRM

The trap.Equipping a support team with a prospecting dialler. Skipcall, for instance, does no IVR, no queueing and no inbound call routing: it is not the answer for this profile, and saying so avoids an expensive disappointment.

3Profile 03Outbound prospecting

What this use requires: talk time, not waiting time.

  • Compare the dialling mode and the number of genuinely simultaneous lines, not the marketing name of the dialler
  • Check whether answering machine detection is automatic, and on which plan it becomes available
  • Add up the add-ons before comparing: dialler, transcription, conversation intelligence

The trap.Comparing advertised prices rather than complete prices. At CloudTalk, the parallel dialler is an add-on at €39 per licence per month: an Essential plan at €29 becomes €68 once the add-on is switched on, and €77 with conversation intelligence.

4Profile 04Organisations that have all three

What this use requires: two licence regimes in a single contract.

  • Split the seats into two categories: those that prospect and those that simply need a line
  • Check that both categories coexist in the same account, with the same directory and the same invoice
  • Look at the minimum number of licences plan by plan: that is often what rules out small configurations

The trap.Running two contracts, two invoices and two directories to cover both needs. It is the most expensive configuration and the hardest to administer, and it is rarely repaired once in place.

Quick diagnostic

The 5 signs that you are buying the wrong type of tool

If two of these five points apply to you, the problem is not the vendor you picked, but the family of tools you looked in.

  1. 01You are paying for an inbound call routing module when your team receives almost no calls.
  2. 02You are asking a business phone system to dial fast, and your sales reps spend the day listening to answering machines.
  3. 03The advertised price doubled once the essential add-ons were added to your quote.
  4. 04You took three licences because the plan required them, when only two people use the tool.
  5. 05Your support and sales teams share the same tool and both find it unsuitable.

Who each solution suits

CloudTalk remains the right choice if

  • you handle inbound calls with routing, an IVR and queues
  • you need local numbers in a large number of countries
  • you want more than four simultaneous lines in parallel dialling
  • your support and sales teams have to share the same tool

An alternative makes sense if

  • your need is outbound prospecting and you do not want to stack add-ons to get it
  • call transcription and call summary must be included, not billed as extras
  • hosting all your data in France is a requirement from your legal department
  • you want to start with a single licence, with no annual commitment

Frequently asked questions

What is the best CloudTalk alternative in 2026?+

There is no single answer: the right choice depends on the use. For a contact centre handling inbound calls, CloudTalk remains relevant and well rated, and its direct competitors are Aircall, Ringover and JustCall. For pure outbound prospecting, the question becomes the full cost of a licence equipped with a parallel dialler and transcription: the alternatives are Nooks and Orum on the American side, Skipcall, Flunter and Minari on the French side.

Does CloudTalk have a parallel dialler?+

Yes, but as a paid add-on. The parallel dialler is billed at €39 per licence per month on top of the plan, whichever plan you take. The product page advertises up to ten lines dialled at once, while the help centre documentation states that up to five concurrent calls can be configured. CloudTalk also offers a preview mode and a sequential power dialler, the latter billed at €15 per licence or included in the Expert plan.

How much does CloudTalk really cost?+

With annual billing, plans run from €19 per licence per month for Lite to €49 for Expert, with Starter at €25 and Essential at €29. Billed monthly, those amounts become €27, €34, €39 and €69 respectively. On top come the add-ons: €15 for the power dialler, €39 for the parallel dialler and €9 for conversation intelligence. A properly equipped prospecting licence therefore comes to €77 per month from the Essential plan upwards.

Where is CloudTalk customer data hosted?+

The CloudTalk privacy centre states that call recordings and AI data, transcriptions included, are stored in Germany. Other data may be processed and stored in four Amazon Web Services regions: Frankfurt, North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney. Each subprocessor is covered by a data processing agreement that includes standard contractual clauses.

Is CloudTalk a European company?+

Yes. The publisher is CloudTalk s.r.o., a company incorporated under Slovak law and registered with the Bratislava commercial register, with its head office at Tallerova 4 in Bratislava. The company was founded in 2016 by Martin Malych and Viktor Vanek and has offices in several countries, including Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. A European publisher says nothing about where all the data sits: that is set out in the privacy centre.

What are the French alternatives to CloudTalk?+

Ringover and Skipcall are the two main alternatives published in France. Ringover positions itself on business telephony, with a scope close to that of CloudTalk on inbound. Skipcall focuses on outbound prospecting, with a four-line parallel dialler included from the entry plan and all data hosted with Scaleway, in France. Flunter and Minari are two other French parallel diallers, with a narrower functional scope.

Why is CloudTalk rated 4.4 on G2 and 4.1 on Trustpilot?+

Because the two platforms do not collect the same feedback. G2 mainly gathers assessments of the tool in daily use, where CloudTalk performs well across more than 1,600 reviews. Trustpilot concentrates more feedback on the commercial relationship, which explains a polarised distribution: 66% five-star reviews and 16% one-star reviews, the latter dealing mainly with billing, refunds and support response times.

Does CloudTalk require a minimum number of licences?+

It depends on the plan. The Lite, Starter and Essential plans start at one licence. The Expert plan, the only one to include the power dialler at no extra cost, requires three licences minimum, an entry ticket of €147 per month with annual billing before any add-on.

How do you cancel a CloudTalk subscription?+

Cancellation is done from the dashboard, by selecting a cancellation date and confirming it. Watch the billing regime: CloudTalk bills in advance and grants neither refund nor credit for months started or time left unused. An annual subscription therefore commits you for twelve months. Note your renewal date before starting the process and keep a written record.

Can you keep your numbers when leaving CloudTalk?+

Yes. Numbers are portable from one operator to another. The procedure and the timeline vary with the country the number comes from, which matters if you have opened numbers in several of the 160 countries covered. Ask your current provider for the details needed for porting and start the process before you cancel, so that service is never interrupted.

Should you choose call centre software or a prospecting dialler?+

It depends which way your calls travel. Call centre software is built to receive: it routes, queues, distributes by skill and measures waiting time. A prospecting dialler is built to make calls: it dials several lines in parallel, filters out answering machines and maximises talk time. If both needs coexist, split your seats into two categories rather than buying a single tool that will do both badly.
