Skipcall VS Ubic

Head to head

Skipcall vs Ubic: which one to choose

Both tools dial several lines in parallel, but not the same number, and they do not cover the same scope inside the company. This page settles a single question: which of the two for your team. It compares how each one dials, a full working day, the cost per conversation and the plans, with the calculation method shown.

Data checked on

The verdict, in three lines

The deciding criterion is neither the price nor the feature list: it is the number of people to equip in the company, beyond those who work through call lists.

Choose Ubic if

Your need stops at the dialler, and nothing else has to be equipped.

A single plan, a ceiling expressed in call minutes, no tier to arbitrate and a quote based offer if your volume is low. If the only people you have to equip are sales reps working through lists, and nobody else in the company, the offer is easy to read and can be signed without any calculation.

Choose Skipcall if

You have fewer than a hundred employees and a team that prospects.

One tool for the whole company: parallel dialling on four lines for the people who prospect, and a business number, inbound calls, voicemail, SMS and mobile and web apps for everyone else. That is where Skipcall belongs.

If you are still weighing up several tools and not only these two, the page devoted to alternatives to Ubic compares eight solutions on the market and sets out the identity, the hosting and the reviews of each one.

What Ubic does better than us

Four points where its offer is simpler than ours. Knowing them before you buy avoids a project that goes off track in the third month.

A single plan, with no tier to arbitrate

Ubic publishes one offer only. So there is no plan to choose, no quota to estimate before signing, no risk of picking the wrong tier. At Skipcall, four plans coexist and a badly chosen conversation quota becomes a hidden cost. That trade off does not exist at Ubic.

A ceiling expressed in minutes

The Booster plan advertises 3,000 minutes per licence per month. The call minute is the unit the whole telephony industry has always used, and a sales director knows how to relate it to their own history. Skipcall counts conversations longer than ten seconds, a unit closer to sales practice but one that nobody already has in their existing records.

A quote based offer for low volumes

Ubic offers a quote based deal to teams whose call volume is lower, with the same features according to the vendor. Skipcall has no equivalent: the price list is public and closed. If your volume is well below that of a full time prospecting team, Ubic leaves room for a discussion that we do not open.

Everything is included from the first licence

Since there is only one plan, no feature is reserved for a higher tier. At Skipcall, parallel dialling starts with the Starter plan: the Business VoIP licence at €15 gives a business number, inbound calls and SMS, not the dialler. That is one more constraint to understand before buying.

What Skipcall does better than Ubic

The same exercise, the other way round, and verifiable in the same way: four areas where the gap works in our favour.

The fourth line

Ubic advertises 3 simultaneous calls on its parallel dialler page, Skipcall dials 4. At an identical dialling cadence per line, that means a third more numbers dialled over the same day, and as many extra conversations at the same answer rate. It is one more line, not a different technology, and it is already what separates the two columns of the cost per conversation table further down this page.

Four tiers rather than one

Ubic's single plan can be signed with no trade off, but it does not scale down. A team that prospects half time pays the same €200 per licence as a full time team. At Skipcall, the Starter plan is €75 for 400 conversations and the Intermediate €150 for 1,000: you pay the tier that matches your volume, and you change tier when your volume changes.

The roles that do not prospect

Ubic's public offer is a dialler aimed at prospecting teams. Colleagues who simply need a business number, the ability to receive their calls and a mobile app therefore have to be equipped elsewhere, with a second contract and a second directory. At Skipcall, that role takes a Business VoIP licence at €15 per month in the same tool, on the same bill.

What a single licence covers

Parallel dialling and transcription appear on both sides. The call summary, outbound call sequences, built in contacts, data enrichment, the native HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and Attio integrations and the read API are included in every Skipcall plan, with no option to add, and do not appear on the Ubic pages we consulted. The criterion by criterion table further down states line by line what we were able to verify.

Two families of tools, and only one that covers both

Most companies that prospect end up with two subscriptions: a telephony tool for everyone, a dialler for the sales team. That is the real hidden cost of this market, and it appears on no price list.

Business telephony

Cloud operators and phone systems.

Reception, phone system, queues, customer service, international coverage, a large integration catalogue.

No parallel dialling. Your sales reps are capped at the number of calls they can place one at a time.

Specialist parallel diallers

This is the family Ubic belongs to.

Simultaneous dialling of several lines, answering machine detection, callback cadences. Very effective for prospecting.

No telephony layer. The rest of the company, which simply needs a number and the ability to receive calls, has to be equipped elsewhere. So a second subscription.

Skipcall

Both, in the same tool.

Parallel dialling on four lines, at the level of the best specialists, and the full telephony layer: business number, inbound calls, voicemail, SMS, mobile and web apps.

Fewer reception features than a large telephony vendor. That is a deliberate choice: beyond a hundred or so employees, an inbound specialist is the better fit.

In practice: at Skipcall, a licence at €15 is enough to equip a person who simply needs a business number, an app and the ability to receive their calls. The reps who prospect take a plan from €75, with parallel dialling. Same tool, same directory, same bill. With a specialist dialler, those seats still have to be equipped elsewhere.

It all comes down to the number of lines dialled

Both tools belong to the same family: they launch several calls at once and connect the rep to the first human on the line. So the question is not which one dials in parallel, but how many lines each one opens at a time.

Parallel dialling, 3 lines

Three numbers go out at the same time. As soon as someone picks up, the other two lines are released and the rep is connected. Answering machines, faxes and invalid numbers are screened out automatically. That is the behaviour Ubic describes on its parallel dialler page.

Parallel dialling, 4 lines

Four numbers go out at the same time. As soon as someone picks up, the other three lines are released and the rep is connected. Artificial intelligence screens out answering machines, switchboards and invalid numbers before they reach them. One more line means a third more attempts in the same hour of work.

The gap is not about voice quality or how rich the software is: it is about the number of attempts possible in an hour of work, and about what is left to equip in the company around the dialler. That is what the next table puts into figures.

A typical day, hour by hour

Same rep, same list, same working hours, same dialling cadence per line. Only the number of lines opened in parallel changes.

Slot What happens Calls · 3 lines Calls · 4 lines
09:00 to 10:30 First burst on the list for the day 94 126
10:30 to 12:30 Rest of the list and scheduled callbacks 126 168
14:00 to 15:30 Back to the morning no answers 94 126
15:30 to 17:30 Final burst and end of day notes 126 168
Total over the day 440 588
Conversations obtained 35 47

Assumptions shown: four working slots, an identical dialling cadence per line on both sides, and an answer rate of 8 % applied to both columns. That rate is a figure published by Skipcall. Applying it to three lines as well as four is a conservative assumption, favourable to the three line offer. The detail appears in the "Method and sources" section further down.

The only table that decides: the cost per conversation

Comparing €200 and €75 teaches you nothing until you know what a licence produces. What counts is what one conversation obtained costs. Here is the calculation, based on the typical day above and on 20 working days per month.

Ubic, single plan

€0.29

per conversation

Licence: €200 per month

Conversations: 700 per month

Included: 3,000 minutes

Skipcall Intermediate

€0.16

per conversation

Licence: €150 per month

Conversations: 940 per month

Minimum: none

The Skipcall licence used here costs more than our entry plan, and the conversation still comes out cheaper than with a three line dialler. That is the whole difference between a subscription price and a cost of use. The plan used is the one whose quota genuinely covers the projected volume: at this pace, the Starter and its 400 conversations would be exceeded in the second week. The next section explains how to pick the right tier.

Two checks before you decide. On longer billing terms, the Ubic plan comes down to €180 quarterly and €160 annually, paid in advance, while the Skipcall Intermediate plan comes down to €120 annually. And the Booster plan includes 3,000 minutes per licence per month: measure your average call duration against that ceiling before signing, it is the only way to know whether your bill will follow your usage.

Amounts excluding tax. Both vendors bill in euros: no conversion enters this calculation.

Our plans carry a conversation quota. Here is the one that suits you

Ubic caps in call minutes, Skipcall in conversations, on three of its four plans. Better to explain it clearly: badly chosen, the plan becomes the real hidden cost.

Plan Price Conversations Who it suits
Business VoIP €15 200 Roles that need a business number and place a few calls a day, with no prospecting. No parallel dialler.
Starter €75 400 A rep who prospects half time, or a team getting started. Around 20 conversations per working day.
Intermediate €150 1,000 A rep whose main job is phone prospecting. Around 50 conversations per working day.
Expert €280 Unlimited Very high volume teams, and those who would rather not watch a counter.

Every conversation longer than ten seconds is counted. Calls shorter than ten seconds, answering machines and invalid numbers consume nothing. A volume of SMS is included in every plan. The list of countries you can call is on the pricing page.

Our artificial intelligence serves the sales rep, it does not replace them

This is the fundamental difference between Skipcall and part of the market, in both directions: we put in more of it than the tools that have none, and we refuse to put it where others place it.

What our artificial intelligence does

It screens out answering machines, switchboards and invalid numbers before they reach the sales rep. It transcribes the call and produces a summary. In other words, it removes work that has no value and leaves the work that does.

What it does not do

It does not speak for you. We do not offer a voice agent, and this is not a feature we are late on: it is a position. To call a prospect or answer a customer, the best person for your company image is still a member of your team.

Why the relationship matters

A company that hands its conversations to a machine loses the direct link with its contacts. That link is hard to rebuild, and its weakening does not show up on a dashboard for several months.

Why cost matters too

Voice agents are billed by the minute or by the credit consumed. The bill follows the volume, it is hard to forecast, and the real effect on the customer relationship is hard to measure. A fixed price licence remains a budget you control.

In one sentence

We automate what wastes your sales team's time, never the conversation itself.

Dialling, screening out an answering machine, spotting an invalid number, transcribing, summarising: the machine does it better and never tires of it. Talking to a customer or a prospect, no. That limit is also what makes your budget predictable: a fixed price licence, and not per minute billing that follows your volume.

Ubic scope recorded on getubic.com on 3 September 2026, from its pricing, FAQ and parallel dialler pages. The wording "not documented on the pages consulted" flags information missing from those pages, not a feature missing from the product: ask the vendor. Offers change, check its pricing page before you decide.

Method and sources

A comparison published by one of the two vendors is only worth something if its method can be checked. Here is where every figure on this page comes from, including what it does not prove.

The prices

Skipcall prices are those of the public price list, excluding tax. Ubic prices are those shown on getubic.com: a single "Booster" plan at €200 per user per month on monthly billing, €180 quarterly and €160 annually, the last two being paid in advance. Both vendors bill in euros: the comparison depends on no exchange rate.

The number of lines

Ubic advertises three lines dialled simultaneously on its parallel dialler page. Several software directories copy the figure of five lines: it does not come from the vendor and it is not used here. Skipcall dials four lines.

The answer rate

The 8 % rate on parallel dialling is a figure published by Skipcall on its product pages. These are our own figures, not an independent measurement. It is applied to both columns of the table, so to three lines as well as four: that is a conservative assumption and a favourable one for the three line offer, since it assumes an extra line does nothing to degrade answer quality.

The typical day

The hourly table is an arithmetic projection. An identical dialling cadence per line is applied to both tools, then multiplied by the number of lines each one opens, over four working slots and 20 working days per month. It is not the record of a real day. Your own figures will depend on your list, your sector and your calling hours.

The cost per conversation

The Skipcall plan used is the one whose quota genuinely covers the projected volume, not the cheapest on the price list: at 940 conversations a month, the Starter and its 400 conversations would be exceeded. On the Ubic side, the single plan is taken at its monthly price. Amounts excluding tax.

What we do not compare here

The identity of the company behind the product, its backing, data hosting and public reviews do not appear on this page. They are covered, with sources, on the alternative to Ubic page.

Frequently asked questions

How many lines does Ubic dial in parallel? +

Three. The vendor page devoted to the parallel dialler advertises up to three simultaneous calls, with automatic screening of answering machines, faxes and invalid numbers. Several software directories copy the figure of five lines: it does not come from Ubic. Skipcall dials four lines on the same principle.

Is Skipcall cheaper than Ubic? +

Yes, on both readings. Per licence: the Starter plan is €75 per month where Ubic's single plan is €200, and €160 annually paid in advance against €60 with us. Per conversation obtained: the table further up this page sets out the calculation, based on a typical day and an answer rate applied to both tools.

Does Ubic require a commitment or a minimum number of licences? +

The vendor FAQ states a monthly plan with no commitment, the quarterly and annual plans being paid in advance in exchange for the discount. No minimum number of licences appears on its pricing page. At Skipcall, one licence is enough and the monthly plan carries no commitment.

How do you compare a ceiling in minutes with a conversation quota? +

They are two ways of counting, and both have to be brought back to your real usage. The Ubic Booster plan includes 3,000 minutes per licence per month: apply your average call duration and the number of calls you place to it. Skipcall counts conversations longer than ten seconds, 400 on the Starter, 1,000 on the Intermediate, with no limit on the Expert, 200 on the Business VoIP licence. Short calls, answering machines and invalid numbers consume nothing.

Does Ubic also equip colleagues who do not prospect? +

Its public offer is a dialler aimed at prospecting teams. Seats that simply need a business number and the ability to receive calls therefore have to be equipped elsewhere, which means a second contract and a second directory. At Skipcall, those seats take a Business VoIP licence at €15 per month in the same tool, with the same directory and the same bill.

What happens if my call volume is low? +

Ubic offers a quote based deal to teams whose call volume is lower, with the same features according to the vendor: that is a discussion to open with them. At Skipcall, the price list is public and not negotiated, but it goes down to €15 per licence for a seat without the dialler and €75 for a rep who prospects half time.

Compare on your own calls

One licence is enough to run a list and count your conversations. It is the only comparison that counts.
