Skipcall VS PowerDialer.ai

Head to head

Skipcall vs PowerDialer.ai: which one to choose

Both tools dial several lines in parallel, but they do not cover the same scope and they do not make that dialling available at the same entry point. This page settles one question only: which of the two for your team. It compares the dialling modes, a full working day, the cost per conversation and the quotas, with the calculation method on display.

Data verified on

The verdict, in three lines

What settles it is not the number of lines dialled: it is how much ground the tool has to cover in your company, and how much information you want before you sign.

Choose PowerDialer.ai if

Your priority is the price of the dialler, and the rest of your telephony is already covered elsewhere.

The vendor publishes a first plan at $45 per month and parallel dialling on up to five lines from $139, with unlimited calls to the United States and Canada. If all you want is a dialler for a prospecting team and the company phone system sits elsewhere, that is a cheaper entry point than ours.

Choose Skipcall if

You have fewer than a hundred employees, a team that prospects, and the rest of the company to equip as well.

One tool: parallel dialling on four lines for the people who prospect, and a business number, inbound calls, voicemail, SMS and mobile and web apps for everyone else. Full pricing published, API included and documented. That is where Skipcall belongs.

Skipcall is built for companies of fewer than a hundred employees, and says so: beyond that, telephony becomes a project in its own right. At that scale, two things count as much as the feature list, and we publish both: the full pricing table, on the pricing page, and the API documentation, which lets you take your data back out whenever you decide to.

What PowerDialer.ai does better than us

Four points where the vendor is ahead, all taken from its public pages. Knowing them before you buy avoids a project that goes off the rails in the third month.

The entry price

PowerDialer.ai's first plan is listed at $45 per month. At Skipcall, parallel dialling starts on the Starter plan, at €75 per licence. On the entry ticket for a dialler alone, the gap is clear and it favours them.

The number of simultaneous lines

The vendor advertises up to five lines dialled in parallel, against four at Skipcall. One more line mechanically means more attempts launched with every burst.

Unlimited calls to North America

The Standard Unlimited plan includes unlimited calls to the United States and Canada. At Skipcall, the plans carry a conversation quota, except on Expert. If your team calls those two countries heavily, the unlimited allowance advertised is a real advantage.

The annual commitment discount

The site advertises discounts of up to 35% for an annual commitment. Skipcall's annual discount is 20%. Here again the gap favours them, provided you accept the commitment that comes with it.

What Skipcall does better than PowerDialer.ai

The same exercise, the other way round, and verifiable the same way. The price of the dialler is not part of it: on that ground the vendor is ahead, and the section on cost per conversation shows it.

The scope covered

PowerDialer.ai's public pages present a prospecting dialler. Skipcall carries the full telephony layer around the dialler: inbound calls, voicemail, SMS, mobile and web apps, and also outbound call sequences, contacts, data enrichment and the dashboard. For a company that has to equip its sales reps and the rest of its staff, that is one subscription instead of two.

What is publicly documented

Our pricing is published in full, four plans from €15 to €280 per licence, with the matching conversation quotas. PowerDialer.ai publishes three plans and quotes the fourth, Business, on request. On several features in the table below, its pages consulted on 3 September 2026 say nothing: that does not mean the product lacks them, but the answer has to come from the vendor before you decide.

An API included rather than reserved for one plan

At Skipcall, the API is included on every plan and documented on docs.skipcall.app. At PowerDialer.ai, access to it is reserved for the Premium plan, listed at $165 per licence per month. The difference is tangible the day you change tools: with read access to contacts, call data and metrics, you trigger the export of your own history instead of asking support for it.

The people who do not prospect

An employee who simply needs a business number, the ability to take calls and a mobile app costs €15 per month at Skipcall, in the same tool and on the same invoice as the sales reps. A prospecting dialler does not cover that use. On a team where three people prospect and seven just need to make calls, it is those seven seats that make the difference.

Two families of tools, and only one that covers both

Most companies that prospect end up with two subscriptions: a telephony tool for everyone, a dialler for the sales reps. That is the real hidden cost of this market, and it appears on no pricing table.

Business telephony

The established cloud operators.

Reception, switchboard, call queues, customer service, international coverage, a broad catalogue of integrations.

No parallel dialling. Your sales reps cap out at the number of calls they can place one by one.

Specialist diallers

This is PowerDialer.ai's family.

Several lines dialled at once, answering machine detection, callback cadences. Very effective for prospecting.

No telephony layer. The rest of the company, which simply needs a number and the ability to take calls, has to be equipped elsewhere. So a second subscription.

Skipcall

Both, in the same tool.

Parallel dialling on four lines, on a par with the best specialists, and the full telephony layer from €15 per licence: business number, inbound calls, voicemail, SMS, mobile and web apps.

Fewer reception features than a large telephony vendor. That is a deliberate choice: beyond a hundred or so employees, an inbound specialist is the better fit.

In practice: at Skipcall, a €15 licence is enough to equip someone who simply needs a business number, an app and the ability to take calls. The sales reps who prospect take a plan from €75, with parallel dialling. Same tool, same directory, same invoice. With a specialist dialler, those two needs live in two different contracts.

It all comes down to the dialling mode, and to the plan at which it becomes available

Sequential dialling

One number is dialled, the line rings, then the call connects or it does not. Only at the end of that sequence does the next number go out. The sales rep waits through the ringing, listens to the start of answering machines and hangs up. That is how PowerDialer.ai's entry plan works, Single Line, listed at $45 per licence per month, with up to 250 minutes included.

Parallel dialling

Several numbers go out at the same time. As soon as someone picks up, the other lines are released and the sales rep is connected. At Skipcall, four lines, with filtering by artificial intelligence that keeps answering machines, switchboards and invalid numbers away from the sales rep. At PowerDialer.ai, up to five lines advertised, from the Standard Unlimited plan, listed at $139 per licence per month.

The real question is therefore not which of the two dials in parallel, since both do: it is from which plan, and what the rest of the subscription contains. At Skipcall, parallel dialling is included from the Starter plan, at €75. That is what the next table puts into figures.

A typical day, hour by hour

Same sales rep, same list, same working hours. Only the dialling mode changes. This is the gap between a single line plan and a parallel dialling plan, whichever vendor sells it.

Time slot What happens Calls · sequential Calls · parallel
09:00 to 10:30 First round of calls on the day's list 45 150
10:30 to 12:30 Rest of the list and scheduled callbacks 60 200
14:00 to 15:30 Second pass on the morning's no answers 45 150
15:30 to 17:30 Final round of calls and end of day notes 60 200
Total for the day 210 700
Conversations reached 6 56

Assumptions on display: four working slots, an answer rate of 3% on sequential dialling, the upper bound of our published range of 2% to 3%, and 8% on parallel dialling. These are the figures published by Skipcall, applied to dialling modes and not to brands. The detail is in the "Method and sources" section, further down.

The only table that settles it: the cost per conversation

What counts is not the price of the subscription but what one conversation reached costs. Both tools dial in parallel: at an equal working cadence, the projected volume of conversations is therefore the same on both sides, and the price of the licence makes all the difference. Here is the calculation, from the typical day above and twenty working days a month.

PowerDialer.ai Standard Unlimited

$0.12

per conversation

Licence: $139 per month

Conversations: 1,120 per month

API access: Premium plan, $165

Skipcall Expert

€0.25

per conversation

Licence: €280 per month

Conversations: 1,120 per month

API access: included

On this ground PowerDialer.ai is ahead, and there is no reason to put it any other way: at equivalent dialling, its licence is cheaper than ours. What the gap buys at Skipcall is the rest of the company. Someone who has no need to prospect is equipped for €15 per licence, in the same tool, with the same directory and the same invoice. A specialist dialler does not cover that need, and a second subscription then has to be added whose price appears in neither of these two columns. On top of that comes the API, included with us and reserved for the Premium plan at PowerDialer.ai.

The Skipcall plan taken here is the one whose quota genuinely covers the projected volume: at this pace, Starter and its 400 conversations would be exceeded by the second week. The next point explains how to pick the right tier. PowerDialer.ai's entry plan, at $45, does not enter this table: it dials one line at a time, which brings the same day down to 120 conversations a month, and its 250 minute cap does not cover that call volume. On the Standard plan, the unlimited allowance advertised applies to calls to the United States and Canada: for other destinations, the pricing page publishes no rate, and that is a question to ask before signing.

Amounts excluding tax, in each vendor's billing currency, with no conversion. The two columns therefore give an order of magnitude, not an exact ratio.

Our plans carry a conversation quota. Here is the one that suits you

Skipcall applies a conversation quota on three of its four plans. Better to explain it clearly: picked badly, the plan becomes the real hidden cost.

Plan Price Conversations SMS Who it suits
Business VoIP €15 200 100 Seats that need a business number and a few calls a day, with no prospecting.
Starter €75 400 200 A sales rep who prospects part time, or a team getting started. Around 20 conversations per working day.
Intermediate €150 1,000 500 A sales rep whose main job is phone prospecting. Around 50 conversations per working day.
Expert €280 Unlimited 1,000 Very high volume teams, and those who would rather not watch a counter.

Any conversation longer than ten seconds counts. Calls under ten seconds, answering machines and invalid numbers consume nothing. No minimum number of licences is imposed: one licence is enough to start. The list of permitted calling countries is on the pricing page.

Our artificial intelligence serves the sales rep, it does not replace them

This is the fundamental difference between Skipcall and part of the market, in both directions: we put more of it in than the tools that have none, and we refuse to put it where others place it.

What our artificial intelligence does

It filters out answering machines, switchboards and invalid numbers before they ever reach the sales rep. It transcribes the call and produces a summary. In other words, it removes work that has no value and leaves the work that does.

What it does not do

It does not speak for you. We do not offer a voice agent, and this is not a feature we are late on: it is a position. To call a prospect or answer a customer, the best person for your company's image is still someone on your team.

Why the relationship matters

A company that hands its conversations over to a machine loses the direct link with its contacts. That link is hard to rebuild, and its erosion does not show up on a dashboard for several months.

Why the cost matters too

Voice agents are billed by the minute or by credits consumed. The bill follows the volume, it is hard to forecast, and the real effect on the customer relationship is hard to measure. A fixed price licence stays a budget you control.

In one sentence

We automate what wastes your sales reps' time, never the conversation itself.

Dialling, discarding an answering machine, spotting an invalid number, transcribing, summarising: the machine does it better and never tires. Talking to a customer or a prospect, no. That limit is also what keeps your budget predictable: a fixed price licence, not per minute billing that follows your volume.

PowerDialer.ai scope recorded from the public pages of powerdialer.ai on 3 September 2026. The note "not advertised publicly" means the feature does not appear on those pages, not that it is absent from the product. Plans change: check the vendor's pricing page before you decide.

Method and sources

A comparison published by one of the two vendors is only worth something if its method can be checked. Here is where every figure on this page comes from, including what it does not prove.

The pricing

Skipcall prices are those of the public pricing table, excluding tax, on monthly billing. PowerDialer.ai prices are those shown on its pricing page, in dollars: Single Line at $45, Standard Unlimited at $139 and Premium at $165 per licence per month. A fourth tier, Business, is quoted on request: no calculation is made on that side, for want of a public price. We do not convert currencies, so that a comparison never depends on the exchange rate of the day.

What is published and what is not

PowerDialer.ai publishes its pricing, the number of lines its dialler runs and the main features on its product page. On the rest, its public pages say nothing. The note "not advertised publicly" in the table means exactly that: the feature does not appear on the pages consulted on 3 September 2026. It says nothing about what the product actually contains, and the question is worth putting to the vendor before you decide.

The answer rates

The 8% rate on parallel dialling and the 3% rate on sequential dialling, the upper bound of our published range of 2% to 3%, are the figures Skipcall publishes on its product pages. They are our own figures, not an independent measurement, and they are not attributed to any vendor by name: they describe two dialling modes, not two brands. Nor do we use the productivity figures advertised by PowerDialer.ai in our calculations.

The typical day

The hourly table is an arithmetic projection from the call cadences and the rates above, over four working slots and twenty working days a month. It is not the record of a real day. Your figures will depend on your list, your sector and your calling hours.

What we do not compare here

The identity of the publishing company, data hosting and public reviews do not appear on this page. They are covered, with sources, on the PowerDialer.ai alternative page.

Frequently asked questions

Does PowerDialer.ai dial in parallel like Skipcall? +

Yes. The vendor advertises up to five lines dialled at once, against four at Skipcall. The difference lies in the entry point: parallel dialling at PowerDialer.ai starts on the Standard Unlimited plan, at $139 per licence per month, the first plan at $45 dialling only one line at a time. At Skipcall, parallel dialling is included from the Starter plan, at €75 per licence.

Is Skipcall cheaper than PowerDialer.ai? +

No, not on the price of the dialler. At equivalent parallel dialling, the PowerDialer.ai licence is listed at $139 while the Skipcall plan that covers the same conversation volume is €280. What the gap buys is the telephony layer for the rest of the company from €15 per licence, so a single subscription instead of two, and an API included rather than reserved for the most expensive plan.

Can PowerDialer.ai replace a company phone system? +

Its public pages present a prospecting dialler, and advertise no business telephony layer: inbound calls on your numbers, voicemail, mobile and web apps. That is the nature of specialist diallers, and it implies a second subscription for the employees who simply need a number. Skipcall carries both uses in the same tool.

Is the API included in both tools? +

At PowerDialer.ai, access to the API is reserved for the Premium plan, listed at $165 per licence per month. At Skipcall, the API is included on every plan and documented on docs.skipcall.app. It gives read access to contacts, call data and metrics: that is what makes data portability concrete, since you trigger the export of your data yourself rather than asking support for it.

How many conversations are included in a Skipcall plan? +

400 per licence per month on the Starter plan, 1,000 on Intermediate, no limit on Expert, and 200 on the Business VoIP offer. Any conversation longer than ten seconds counts. A sales rep prospecting full time usually goes past the Starter quota: Intermediate, or even Expert, is the plan that matches that use.

Is there a minimum number of licences? +

At Skipcall, none: one licence is enough, and the first month costs the price of one licence. PowerDialer.ai's public pages do not state a minimum number of licences, but nor do they state that there is none: that is a point to confirm in writing before signing.

Does Skipcall handle inbound calls? +

Skipcall receives calls on your numbers, with voicemail and mobile and web apps. What it does not have is the layer above: interactive voice response, call queues, distribution to a group of agents, real time supervision. A structured customer service team needs that layer, and should then turn to a business telephony vendor.

Which one should you choose for prospecting in the United States and Canada? +

PowerDialer.ai's Standard Unlimited plan includes unlimited calls to the United States and Canada: on that precise scope, it is a clear advantage. At Skipcall, those two countries are among the permitted destinations, but conversations count against the plan quota, except on Expert. If most of your prospecting is North America and nothing else, compare those two lines first.

Compare on your own calls

One licence is enough to run a list and count your conversations. It is the only comparison that counts.
