Aircall vs CloudTalk
Aircall and CloudTalk both score 4.4 out of 5 on G2. What separates them is parallel dialing, sold as a paid add-on by one and available nowhere at the other.
We build Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as Aircall and CloudTalk. We therefore have a commercial interest in you choosing neither, and you should read this page knowing that.
That is why Skipcall appears nowhere in the comparison below: not in the table, not in the verdict, not in the questions. Every claim here points to a dated public source, listed at the foot of the page. If something looks wrong, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.
In short
The essentials in five sentences
- Aircall and CloudTalk are two cloud business telephony vendors, each rated 4.4 out of 5 on G2 as of 8 September 2026, on more than 1,500 reviews for Aircall and more than 1,600 for CloudTalk.
- CloudTalk sells parallel dialing as an add-on, at €39 per licence per month on top of the plan. Aircall offers it on none of its plans as of 8 September 2026, at any price.
- The entry ticket is decided by the licence minimum: Aircall requires three licences on its published plans, so $90 a month at the very least, whereas CloudTalk's Starter and Essential plans, at €25 and €29 per licence per month billed annually, start at a single licence.
- The gap widens on Trustpilot, where Aircall scores 2.9 out of 5 across 1,081 reviews and CloudTalk 4.1 out of 5 across 785 reviews. In both cases the negative reviews are about billing and support response times, not about call quality.
- The two vendors publish in different currencies, dollars for Aircall and euros for CloudTalk. No exchange rate is applied in this comparison: every amount is quoted as its vendor publishes it.
Which of the two
Choose CloudTalk if you want to be able to buy parallel dialing at all, even as an extra, or if you are starting with one or two licences: its Starter and Essential plans do not force you to pay for three. Choose Aircall if what you need is business telephony for at least three users, with audio quality and the depth of the integration catalogue as your first criteria. The choice does not turn on the product rating, identical at 4.4 out of 5 on G2 for both as of 8 September 2026, but on what you can buy and on how many seats you have to put on the invoice.
The point that decides
Two 4.4s on G2: the choice is decided elsewhere
On product satisfaction these two tools are strictly level as of 8 September 2026. What separates them comes down to three things that appear on no product page: what you are allowed to buy, how many seats you have to pay for, and what happens once the contract is signed.
Aircall scores 4.4 out of 5 on G2 across more than 1,500 reviews, CloudTalk 4.4 out of 5 across more than 1,600. Two large samples, two identical ratings: setting these two tools against each other on product satisfaction leads nowhere. The gap appears on the pricing page, and then in what follows the signature.
The first gap is the number of seats you have to pay for. Aircall requires a minimum of three licences on its published plans: a team of two reps pays $90 a month on the Essentials plan, for three licences one of which stays unused. At CloudTalk, the Starter plan at €25 and the Essential plan at €29 per licence per month start at one licence, and only the Expert plan, at €49, imposes the minimum of three. For a team of one or two reps, that is the difference between paying for what you use and paying for an empty seat.
The second gap is not a price gap, it is a question of availability. CloudTalk sells parallel dialing as an add-on, at €39 per licence per month on top of the plan, which comes to €88 per licence on the Expert plan and €440 a month for five reps. Aircall offers it on no plan at all: its power dialer, available from the Professional plan at $50 per licence, dials one number at a time. If parallel dialing is what decides your choice, the comparison stops at that line, and no amount of negotiating will move it.
The third gap only shows up after the signature. On Trustpilot, Aircall sits at 2.9 out of 5 across 1,081 reviews, with 29% one-star reviews, and CloudTalk at 4.1 out of 5 across 785 reviews, with 16% one-star reviews. At both vendors, those reviews talk about billing, renewal and support response times, almost never about calling features. A 1.2-point gap between two tools rated identically on G2 says more about what each platform measures: G2 judges the product, Trustpilot judges the commercial relationship.
One last point of method. Aircall publishes its prices in dollars, CloudTalk in euros. Comparing $30 with €25 figure against figure means nothing without applying the exchange rate on the day you are billed, and no rate is applied here. Bring both offerings back to the real monthly cost of your exact configuration, in your currency, licence minimums and add-ons included, before you decide.

Which one for which use
Two situations, two answers
Aircall is the right choice if
- what you need is business telephony, with as many inbound calls as outbound ones
- your team already has at least three users, which makes the licence minimum painless
- audio quality is your first criterion: it is rated 9.1 out of 10 on G2, the best in the category
- your software stack is unusual and you are looking for the widest integration catalogue
- your procurement team wants a vendor established since 2014 and valued at more than a billion dollars since 2021
CloudTalk is the right choice if
- you want to be able to switch parallel dialing on, even if you have to pay extra for it
- you are starting with one or two licences: the Starter and Essential plans do not force three on you
- you open local numbers in a large number of countries, the advertised coverage running beyond 160
- your call recordings have to stay in the European Union, where they are stored in Germany
- you have a security questionnaire to fill in: the SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications are published
The limits
What each one does not do
Aircall limits
- No parallel dialing, on any plan and at any price, as of 8 September 2026. The power dialer on the Professional plan dials one number at a time.
- The three-licence minimum applies to the published plans and does not appear next to the unit price: the real entry ticket is $90 a month on Essentials and $150 a month on Professional.
- The Trustpilot rating is 2.9 out of 5 across 1,081 reviews, with 29% one-star reviews about billing, automatic renewal and support response times.
- Call recordings are hosted by default on AWS servers located in the United States for accounts created before May 2022.
CloudTalk limits
- Parallel dialing is included in no plan: it costs €39 per licence per month on top, which comes to €88 per licence on the Expert plan.
- The add-on is billed per licence and not per account: it cannot be shared between reps, and it comes to €195 a month for a team of five.
- The Trustpilot rating is 4.1 out of 5 across 785 reviews, with 16% one-star reviews about billing, refunds and support response times. The vendor bills in advance and grants neither refund nor credit for months already started.
- Not all data stays in the European Union: beyond the recordings and artificial intelligence data stored in Germany, other data may sit in four AWS regions, including Northern Virginia, Singapore and Sydney.
What neither of them does
- Neither is a prospecting dialer by design: both belong to the business telephony family, where handling inbound calls weighs as much as making outbound ones.
- Neither guarantees fully French hosting. Aircall hosts recordings in the United States by default for accounts created before May 2022, and CloudTalk spreads part of its data across four AWS regions.
- Neither shows its entry price on monthly billing: the amounts put forward assume an annual commitment. Without a commitment, Aircall's Essentials licence rises to $40 a month and CloudTalk's Starter licence to €34 a month.
- Neither escapes the same complaint in its public reviews: at both vendors, the one-star Trustpilot reviews are about billing and support response times, not about call quality. The product demonstration will therefore tell you nothing about the real risk, which is contractual.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers
Which is cheaper, Aircall or CloudTalk?
As of 8 September 2026, Aircall's entry plan is advertised at $30 per licence per month billed annually, CloudTalk's at €25. The two vendors publish in different currencies and no exchange rate is applied here. The decisive difference is not the unit price but the licence minimum: Aircall requires three on its published plans, so $90 a month whatever your actual headcount, whereas CloudTalk's Starter and Essential plans start at one licence. For one or two reps, CloudTalk therefore commits you to far less; from three users up, the gap narrows and depends on the plan chosen and the add-ons switched on.
Aircall or CloudTalk for parallel dialing?
CloudTalk, because it is the only one of the two that sells it. As of 8 September 2026, CloudTalk offers parallel dialing as an add-on at €39 per licence per month on top of the chosen plan, with the number of simultaneous calls configurable in the settings. Aircall offers parallel dialing on none of its plans: its power dialer, available from the Professional plan, works through a list one call after another but never opens several lines at once. This point is not negotiable, and it decides the choice.
Which one to choose for a team of two reps?
CloudTalk, on that precise criterion. Its Starter plan at €25 and Essential plan at €29 per licence per month billed annually start at a single licence: two reps pay for two licences. Aircall requires three licences on its published plans as of 8 September 2026: two reps pay $90 a month on Essentials, one licence more than their headcount. If your team is due to reach three people within the year, however, the argument loses most of its force.
What does a team of five reps cost at Aircall and at CloudTalk?
As of 8 September 2026, five Aircall licences on the Professional plan come to $250 a month billed annually, with no parallel dialing at all since the vendor does not offer it. At CloudTalk, five licences on the Expert plan come to €245 a month, plus €195 for the parallel dialing add-on billed at €39 per licence, so €440 a month. The two amounts therefore do not cover the same scope, and they are not expressed in the same currency.
Which of the two for a French team?
That depends on what you mean by French. Aircall is a French company founded in Paris in 2014, while CloudTalk is published by a Slovak company founded in Bratislava in 2016. On hosting, the comparison partly reverses: CloudTalk stores call recordings and artificial intelligence data in Germany, so inside the European Union, whereas Aircall hosts recordings by default on AWS servers in the United States for accounts created before May 2022. Neither guarantees fully French hosting: ask each of them for written confirmation of the storage region for an account opened from France today.
Why do Aircall and CloudTalk have the same rating on G2 but not on Trustpilot?
Both vendors score 4.4 out of 5 on G2 as of 8 September 2026, on more than 1,500 reviews for Aircall and more than 1,600 for CloudTalk. On Trustpilot, Aircall falls to 2.9 out of 5 across 1,081 reviews, with 29% one-star reviews, while CloudTalk holds at 4.1 out of 5 across 785 reviews, with 16% one-star reviews. The two platforms do not measure the same thing: G2 collects user reviews of the product, Trustpilot collects customer reviews of the commercial relationship. The 1.2-point gap is therefore about billing, renewal and support, not about call quality.
Do Aircall and CloudTalk impose a licence minimum?
Both do, but not in the same way. Aircall requires a minimum of three licences on its published plans, which puts its real entry ticket at $90 a month on Essentials and $150 a month on Professional. At CloudTalk, the Starter and Essential plans start at one licence, and only the Expert plan imposes a minimum of three, so €147 a month before any add-on. At neither vendor does this condition appear next to the unit price: have it confirmed in writing before you compare the advertised amounts.
Can you move from Aircall to CloudTalk, or the other way round?
Yes, numbers are portable from one operator to another, but the order of operations decides everything. Start the porting with the new vendor before terminating the old contract: a number released too early can be lost. Both contracts also assume an annual commitment to get the advertised prices, with automatic renewal at Aircall and, at CloudTalk, billing in advance with no refund for months already started. Note the renewal date and the notice period before you begin the switch. If you are leaving CloudTalk with numbers open in several countries, porting procedures and timescales vary from one country to the next.
