Why connect lemlist to Skipcall

lemlist already orchestrates multichannel sequences. The phone often appears there as a manual task, which is to say as a task nobody does. The connection turns that step into a real call session, and sends the outcome back so the sequence takes account of it.

A connection through an API has one advantage over a fixed connector: you decide what travels, in which direction, and into which field. Nothing leaves that you have not planned, which also keeps your record of processing activities simple.

Getting started

Allow an hour for a first working scenario, a few minutes if you have a coding assistant write the script. The time goes on deciding what you want to move between the two tools, not on writing code.

  1. Create your Skipcall API key From your Skipcall workspace, you generate a key that opens the API. It gives access to contacts, call lists and outcomes.
  2. Connect lemlist to Skipcall In n8n, Zapier or Make, an HTTP module calls the Skipcall API on one side and the lemlist API on the other. No code to write, no server to host. If you would rather call the API directly, a coding assistant such as Claude or Codex writes the script from the documentation.
  3. Send the outcome back At the end of every call, Skipcall exposes the outcome, the duration, the transcript and the summary. The same scenario sends them into lemlist, wherever you chose to put them.

Those rates explain why sending the outcome back automatically matters so much. At twenty-five calls a day, a rep can still log them by hand in lemlist. At a hundred and fifty they will not, and your data becomes wrong without anyone noticing.

What to know before you start

No native integration

Skipcall has no ready-made connector for lemlist. The four native integrations are HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and Attio. For everything else the open API does the work: expect a set-up rather than a button, but one measured in minutes or an hour, not weeks.

Before you switch recording on

Recording a call requires a documented lawful basis under the UK GDPR, information given to the people concerned beforehand, and a defined retention period; PECR governs the marketing calls themselves, with the ICO as the supervisory authority. These duties apply even when the recording is only used for internal training, and they do not disappear because the file travels through lemlist.

Beyond lemlist

Frequently asked questions

Can the call trigger the rest of the lemlist sequence?

Yes. The outcome sent back by Skipcall acts as the condition: answered, voicemail or refused do not call for the same follow-up.

How do you avoid calling someone who has already replied by email?

By checking the lemlist status before building the call list. It is the first filter to put in place, and the one most often forgotten.

Is there a native integration between Skipcall and lemlist?

No. The Skipcall native integrations are HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and Attio. For lemlist, the connection goes through the open REST API, either directly or through an automation platform.

How long does it take to connect the two tools?
