Aircall vs Dialpad
The same 4.4 out of 5 on G2, but 2.9 against 4.0 on Trustpilot. Aircall bills three licences minimum, Dialpad keeps its dialer for a plan ten times dearer.
We build Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as Aircall and Dialpad. We therefore have a commercial interest in you choosing neither, and you should read this page knowing that.
That is why Skipcall appears nowhere in the comparison below: not in the table, not in the verdict, not in the questions. Every claim here points to a dated public source, listed at the foot of the page. If something looks wrong, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.
In short
The essentials in five sentences
- Aircall and Dialpad hold exactly the same G2 rating as of 7 September 2026: 4.4 out of 5, over more than 1,500 reviews for Aircall and more than 4,100 for Dialpad.
- On Trustpilot, where customers rate the commercial relationship rather than the product, the gap is 1.1 points: 2.9 out of 5 for Aircall over 1,081 reviews, 4.0 out of 5 for Dialpad over 3,156 reviews, as of 7 September 2026.
- The two vendors hide their real cost in different places: Aircall imposes a minimum of three licences, Dialpad reserves its campaign dialer for the Sell Premium plan at $150 per licence per month, against $15 for its entry plan.
- Neither includes a dialer in its calling plan: Aircall's Essentials plan at $30 and Dialpad's Connect Standard at $15 buy telephony, with no list-dialing feature.
- Aircall offers parallel dialing on no plan at all as of 7 September 2026, whereas Dialpad's campaign dialer can assign several lines to one agent, on the Sell Premium plan only.
Which of the two
Below three reps, Dialpad costs considerably less: its Sell licence at $39 a month opens a dialer where Aircall charges $150 a month for its Professional plan, three-licence minimum included. From three users up, the choice moves to the real requirement: Aircall if audio quality and the depth of the integration catalogue come first, Dialpad if you need a full suite or the only dialer of the two that assigns several lines to one agent, billed at $150 per licence per month. On contractual risk, the public reviews decide it: 9% one-star reviews on Trustpilot for Dialpad, 29% for Aircall, as of 7 September 2026.
The point that decides
The same product rating, three times the complaints on one side
These two vendors are rated identically by their users and very differently by their customers. It is the one place where the two files genuinely diverge, and it is not the one comparison articles look at.
On G2, both sit at 4.4 out of 5 as of 7 September 2026, over large samples on either side: more than 1,500 reviews for Aircall, more than 4,100 for Dialpad, one of the highest volumes in the category. Two products judged equivalent by the people who use them every day. On Trustpilot, the same comparison gives 2.9 out of 5 for Aircall and 4.0 out of 5 for Dialpad. The share of one-star reviews goes from 9% at Dialpad to 29% at Aircall, a little over three times as many.
The detail that makes the gap readable is that the grievances are the same on both sides. At Aircall as at Dialpad, the one-star reviews are about automatic renewal, unexpected invoices and support response times, almost never about features. So what separates the two files is not the nature of the risk, it is how often it lands. The questions to ask before signing are identical; the odds that the answer costs you money are not.
The second contrast is on price, and it works the opposite way round to what you would expect. Aircall puts a step at the door: three licences billed, whatever the real headcount. That is a fixed cost, so it dilutes as the team grows, and it disappears entirely from three reps up. Dialpad puts a staircase in: $15 for telephony, $39 for the Sell plan that opens a dialer, $150 for the Sell Premium plan that opens the campaign dialer. That is a per-licence multiplier, so it never dilutes and grows with the team.
The practical consequence is clear. Two reps who want a dialer pay $150 a month at Aircall, on the Professional plan at $50 billed three times, against $78 at Dialpad on two Sell licences at $39. Ten reps pay $500 at Aircall and $390 at Dialpad on the same Sell plan, but $1,500 if they need the Sell Premium campaign dialer, a feature Aircall sells at no price at all. The step penalises small teams, the staircase penalises large ones.

Which one for which use
Two situations, two answers
Choose Aircall if
- your team has at least three users, which makes the licence minimum painless and brings the cost back to $50 per rep on the Professional plan
- audio quality is your first criterion: it is the best-rated point in the category on G2, at 9.1 out of 10 over more than 1,500 reviews
- your software stack is unusual and you need an integration catalogue that has been built up since 2014
- your procurement team wants an established French vendor, valued at more than a billion dollars since 2021
Choose Dialpad if
- you are one or two reps: a Sell licence at $39 a month opens a dialer, against a $150 a month entry cost on the other side
- you need to assign several lines to one agent: it is the only one of the two to offer that, on the Sell Premium plan at $150 per licence per month
- your requirement goes beyond prospecting and covers video meetings, team messaging or a contact centre, sold at $80 to $150 per licence under the Support product
- contractual risk weighs on your decision: 9% one-star reviews over 3,156 Trustpilot ratings, against 29% opposite
The limits
What each one does not do
Aircall limits
- No parallel dialing on any plan as of 7 September 2026. The power dialer, available from the Professional plan up, calls one number at a time.
- The three-licence minimum does not appear next to the unit price on the pricing page, which skews any comparison based on the advertised amounts alone.
- 2.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot over 1,081 reviews, with 29% one-star reviews about automatic renewal, unexpected invoices and support response times.
- Call recordings from accounts created before May 2022 are hosted by default on AWS servers located in the United States.
Dialpad limits
- The campaign dialer requires the Sell Premium plan at $150 per licence per month, ten times the $15 entry price advertised for telephony.
- Four separately billed products multiply the risk of picking the wrong plan. Whether a Sell licence removes the need for a Connect telephony licence is a point to have confirmed in writing before signing.
- Permanent data, meaning contacts, call logs, recordings and transcripts, is stored in the United States on Google Cloud until the administrator selects another region.
- Support response times are the most frequent reason for the negative reviews recorded on Trustpilot, and round-the-clock phone support is open to Enterprise accounts only.
What neither of them does
- Neither includes a dialer in its calling plan: Aircall's Essentials at $30 and Dialpad's Connect Standard at $15 buy telephony, not a prospecting tool.
- Neither hosts your data in Europe without action on your part: AWS in the United States for Aircall recordings from accounts created before May 2022, Google Cloud in the United States by default at Dialpad.
- Neither publishes a price for its top offer: Aircall's Custom plan is on quotation, and Dialpad's AI Agents product is billed by credits consumed, likewise on quotation.
- Neither escapes the billing grievances: in both review samples, the one-star ratings are about renewal, invoices and support, never about features. Only their frequency differs, 29% against 9%.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers
Aircall or Dialpad: which is cheaper?
Dialpad, at equivalent configuration, as of 7 September 2026. Its Connect Standard plan is $15 per licence per month against $30 for Aircall's Essentials plan, and its Sell Essentials plan, the first to contain a dialer, is $39 against $50 for Aircall's Professional plan. The gap widens further on small teams, because Aircall bills three licences minimum: the entry cost with a dialer is $150 a month at Aircall against $39 at Dialpad. It reverses if you need Dialpad's campaign dialer, which requires the Sell Premium plan at $150 per licence per month.
Aircall or Dialpad for a team of two reps?
Dialpad, on cost alone. Two Sell Essentials licences come to $78 a month billed annually as of 7 September 2026. At Aircall, two reps on the Professional plan pay $150 a month, because the contract imposes a three-licence minimum and the Professional plan is the first to contain a dialer. A team of two therefore pays for three at Aircall, and for two at Dialpad.
Which of the two dials several numbers in parallel?
Dialpad, and only Dialpad. Its campaign dialer works through calls one after another and can assign several lines to one agent, but it is open to the Sell Premium plan only, at $150 per licence per month. Aircall offers parallel dialing on none of its plans as of 7 September 2026: its power dialer, available from the Professional plan up, works through a list without ever opening several lines at once.
Aircall or Dialpad for a French team?
Aircall is a French company founded in Paris in 2014, with French numbers, wide coverage and support in French. Dialpad is an American vendor founded in 2011 in San Ramon, whose support in French is not advertised. On hosting, though, neither is European by default: Aircall recordings from accounts created before May 2022 sit on AWS in the United States, and Dialpad's permanent data sits on Google Cloud in the United States until the administrator selects another region.
Why do Aircall and Dialpad share a G2 rating but not a Trustpilot one?
Because the two platforms do not measure the same thing. G2 collects user reviews about the product, and both sit at 4.4 out of 5 there as of 7 September 2026. Trustpilot collects customer reviews about the commercial relationship, and the gap there reaches 1.1 points: 2.9 out of 5 for Aircall over 1,081 reviews, 4.0 out of 5 for Dialpad over 3,156 reviews. The share of one-star reviews goes from 9% at Dialpad to 29% at Aircall. Yet the reasons are the same on both sides, automatic renewal, billing and support response times: what differs is their frequency, not their nature.
Is the dialer included in the base plan at either vendor?
No, at neither. Aircall's Essentials plan, at $30 per licence per month, contains no dialer: you have to move up to the Professional plan at $50. Dialpad's Connect Standard plan, at $15, contains no list-dialing feature: you need a Dialpad Sell licence, from $39. In both cases, the advertised entry price buys telephony and not a prospecting tool.
Can you move from Aircall to Dialpad, or the other way round?
Yes, with three precautions that hold in both directions. Note the anniversary date of the contract and the notice period first, because that is what sets your window to switch: at both vendors, renewal and billing are the leading reason for negative reviews on Trustpilot. Then start porting your numbers before you terminate, since they belong to you and move from one operator to another. Finally, ask for an export of recordings, call logs and notes while the account is still live.
Which one for a contact centre or a full suite?
Dialpad, whose catalogue holds four separately billed products as of 7 September 2026: Connect for telephony, video meetings and team messaging, Support for the contact centre at $80 to $150 per licence per month, Sell for sales and AI Agents for autonomous agents. The price list Aircall publishes holds three business telephony plans, Essentials, Professional and Custom on quotation.
