- Dialpad is an American vendor founded in 2011 in San Ramon, California, selling four separately billed offers: Connect for telephony, Support for the contact centre, Sell for sales and AI Agents for autonomous agents.
- The dialer is not part of the telephony offer: it requires a Dialpad Sell licence, from $39 per licence per month on annual billing, against $15 for the Connect Standard plan.
- The campaign dialer, the one that chains calls automatically and can assign several lines to one agent, is only opened on the Sell Premium plan, at $150 per licence per month.
- Dialpad is rated 4.4 out of 5 on G2 across more than 4,100 reviews, one of the highest volumes in the category, and 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 3,156 reviews.
- Permanent data, contacts, call logs, recordings and transcripts, is stored in the United States on Google Cloud, unless the account administrator has selected another region.
Our bias, stated up front
We make Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as Dialpad. We therefore have a direct financial interest in you not choosing them.
You should read this page knowing that. It is also why it is built the way it is: every claim points to a dated public document you can open yourself. The sources are listed at the foot of the page. Nothing here rests on our word alone.
An entire section below is devoted to what Dialpad does better than us, and we had no interest in writing it. If anything here looks wrong to you, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.
The dialer is another product, ten times the price
Dialpad advertises $15 per licence. That price exists, but it gives access to no prospecting feature. The one you came for is in another offer, on another floor.
Connect Standard
$15
telephony, no dialer
Sell
$39
basic dialer
Sell Premium
$150
multi-line campaign dialer
The tenfold factor between entry level and the plan that actually contains a campaign dialer is the most useful figure in the whole Dialpad file, and it never appears in comparisons that line up headline prices.
Be precise about what each floor contains. The $39 Sell plan opens a dialer, but it is the campaign dialer on the Premium plan that chains calls automatically and allows several lines per agent, that is, the feature that changes a rep's productivity.
For five reps needing that feature, the bill is $750 a month, or roughly $9,000 a year. That is a high-end American vendor order of magnitude, a long way from what the home page suggests.
| What you need | Plan required | Price per licence | 5 reps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Make calls | Connect Standard | $15 | $75 / month |
| Dial a list | Sell | $39 | $195 / month |
| Campaign dialer | Sell Premium | $150 | $750 / month |

What to do about it
Work out which feature you actually need first, then look at the matching plan, and only then at the price. Doing it the other way round leads to comparing a telephony plan against prospecting dialers, which makes no sense. And get written confirmation that the campaign dialer is included in the plan you are offered.

What the reviews of Dialpad are worth
With more than 4,100 reviews on G2 and 3,156 on Trustpilot, Dialpad has the richest corpus in this section. The reading is solid.
G2
over 4,100 reviews
One of the highest review volumes in the category. Ease of adoption, real-time transcription and the quality of call summaries recur most often in positive feedback.
Trustpilot
3,156 reviews
75% five-star and 9% one-star. The latter rarely concern features and almost always support delays, billing and subscription renewal.
Rating distribution
Nine per cent one-star across more than 3,000 reviews is a low proportion for this market. For reference, several competitors in this section exceed 16%, and one reaches 64%.
In other words, Dialpad has the best contractual profile of the large vendors on this page. The grievances exist, they are the classic ones, but they are a minority.
The real risk with Dialpad is therefore not the relationship, it is picking the wrong plan. Buying Connect Standard believing you are buying a prospecting tool, then discovering you need Sell Premium at ten times the price: that is where the bad surprise sits, and it is avoidable by asking two questions.
What Dialpad does well
Four points we would rather not write, and which are true.
Real-time transcription is excellent
It is the most cited point across more than 4,100 reviews, and Dialpad has several years' lead here. The quality of automatically generated call summaries is a genuine daily time saving for a rep.
The best contractual profile among the large vendors
Nine per cent one-star across 3,156 Trustpilot reviews. That is clearly better than this market's average, and it means something concrete: exit and billing go better at Dialpad than elsewhere.
The storage region is selectable
Permanent data sits in the United States by default, but the account administrator can select another region. That documented choice does not exist at every American vendor.
A complete suite, not just a dialer
Video conferencing, team messaging, contact centre, autonomous agents. If your need goes beyond outbound prospecting, that coverage is real and we do not have it: we do neither video conferencing nor inbound call routing.
The five questions to put to them in writing
Copy these straight into an email. In writing, not on a call: a written answer is binding, a spoken one leaves no trace.
The plan that actually contains the dialer
“We need to chain calls from a list automatically and assign several lines to one rep. Please confirm in writing which exact plan opens that feature and its per-licence price for [N] users.”
Possible licence stacking
“Does a Dialpad Sell user also get the telephony of the Connect plan, or must both licences be stacked?”
The storage region
“Can we select a European region for storing recordings, transcripts and call logs? Is that selection available from account opening and does it cover all data categories?”
Renewal
“What is the commitment term, the anniversary date and the non-renewal notice period?”
Lines per agent
“How many lines can the campaign dialer assign to one agent, and is that number configurable?”
Who it is the right choice for, and who it is not
Dialpad is a good choice if
- you need a complete suite, telephony, video conferencing and contact centre
- real-time transcription and automatic summaries are decisive for you
- a budget of $150 per licence per month is within your range
- you want a vendor with the best contractual profile in its category
Look elsewhere if
- you only want a dialer and do not want to pay for a suite
- the cost of a Sell Premium plan exceeds what you spend on prospecting
- your data must stay in Europe without special configuration
- you want the dialer included in the base plan
Frequently asked questions
How much does Dialpad cost in 2026? +
Dialpad sells four separately billed offers. The Connect Standard plan, covering telephony, is $15 per licence per month on annual billing. Dialpad Sell starts at $39 and opens a dialer. The Sell Premium plan, the only one containing the campaign dialer that chains calls and assigns several lines to an agent, is $150 per licence per month. For five reps needing that feature, the bill comes to $750 a month.
Is Dialpad’s dialer included in the telephony plan? +
No. The dialer does not belong to the Connect telephony offer: it requires a Dialpad Sell licence. And the campaign dialer, the one that automatically chains calls and can assign several lines to one agent, is only opened on the Sell Premium plan at $150 per licence per month.
What are the reviews of Dialpad worth? +
The rating is 4.4 out of 5 on G2 across more than 4,100 reviews, one of the highest volumes in the category, and 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 3,156 reviews, 75% five-star and only 9% one-star. That proportion of negative reviews is clearly below this market's average: Dialpad's contractual profile is the best among the large vendors in this section.
Where is Dialpad customer data hosted? +
Permanent data, contacts, call logs, recordings and transcripts, is stored in the United States on Google Cloud by default, unless the account administrator has selected another region. That selection is documented by the vendor: ask for confirmation that it covers all data categories and is available from account opening.
Who publishes Dialpad? +
Dialpad is an American vendor founded in 2011 in San Ramon, California. It sells four separately billed offers: Connect for telephony, Support for the contact centre, Sell for sales and AI Agents for autonomous agents.
Can this review be trusted, published by a competitor? +
We make Skipcall and we meet Dialpad in prospecting tenders. You should read this page knowing that. Which is why we write that its real-time transcription has several years' lead, that its contractual profile is the best in this section, and that its functional coverage exceeds ours: we do neither video conferencing nor inbound call routing.
And where do we fit in
This page judges Dialpad; it does not sell Skipcall. If you are at the comparison stage rather than the evaluation stage, the comparative analysis lives elsewhere and is written for that.
