A random prospect

Why a random draw

A simulator you replay ten times gets memorised: you end up clicking the right position without reading. That is the opposite of practice. In random mode, every launch draws a prospect from the cold call and call-back scenarios, a starting mood, whether or not there is a front desk, and the objection they will raise. The three replies on every turn change places. You have to read, and choose.

Every draw has a number, shown during the call and in the debrief. Same number, same prospect, same flow: note the one that gave you trouble and replay it tomorrow. The score is relative to the best possible call with that particular prospect, since the draw can make some paths less rewarding.

Key takeaways

  • Read every reply: memorised positions no longer work.
  • Note the number of a difficult prospect and replay it the next day.
  • The score is relative to that prospect: compare your calls with each other, not with 100.
  • One random call before the first calling block, every day.

A random prospect

Persona, mood, front desk and objections are drawn at random, and the replies change places: you have to read, not remember. Same number, same prospect.

Prospect #1000

MDMark DaltonVP Sales · Payflow

On Monday, between two meetings, he said "send me something". Sent that evening. Nothing since.

He reads email on the train and only answers the ones that save him time. He likes people who get to the point.
