Trellus: reviews, pricing and full price list (2026)

Trellus is not a standalone tool: it is an extension that sits on top of Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot or Apollo. Without one of them it does not work. Real prices and what that implies.

The short version

  • Trellus is an American company founded in 2022 in New York, a Y Combinator W22 alumnus, published by Outpost Labs Inc.
  • It is not a telephony carrier but a browser extension that sits on an existing sales engagement platform: Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, Zoho, VanillaSoft or Amplemarket. Without one of them the product does not work.
  • The individual plans are advertised at $99.99 and $149.99 per user per month, with a promotional rate of $34.99 recorded on 7 September 2026.
  • Real-time coaching and team analytics appear only on the Business plan, whose price is not published.
  • In France, most coaching happens after the call: regulation limits how long call recordings may be kept and rules out any permanent listening arrangement.

Our bias, stated up front

We make Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as Trellus. We therefore have a direct financial interest in you not choosing them.

You should read this page knowing that. It is also why it is built the way it is: every claim points to a dated public document you can open yourself. The sources are listed at the foot of the page. Nothing here rests on our word alone.

An entire section below is devoted to what Trellus does better than us, and we had no interest in writing it. If anything here looks wrong to you, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.

You already have to pay for another tool

Trellus is not an alternative to a dialer: it is a layer placed on top of one. Its price therefore competes with nothing, it is added to something.

Trellus

$99.99

per user per month, Power plan

The required platform

+ its price

Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo or equivalent

The product sits on an existing sales engagement platform and adds in-call coaching and dialing to it. Without Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo or one of the other supported tools, it has nothing to sit on.

That completely changes how to read the price. Comparing Trellus's $99.99 to a standalone dialer's €89 makes no sense: in one case you are buying a complete product, in the other a layer that presumes a Salesloft or Outreach subscription, whose rates run to tens of dollars per user per month.

That is not a criticism of the product, it is a correction of scope. Trellus addresses teams that already have a platform and want to improve it, not teams looking for their first tool.

What to do about it

If you already have Salesloft, Outreach or Apollo, compare Trellus to your platform's native coaching features, not to dialers. If you have nothing, add both subscriptions together before comparing anything. And check that your platform is on the supported list, it conditions everything else.

What the reviews of Trellus are worth

Trellus is a young vendor, with no significant review corpus on the reference platforms.

0

0

No significant independent corpus exists as of 7 September 2026. Passing through Y Combinator in 2022 tells you about initial selection, not about customer satisfaction.

One point deserves raising, and it is specific to this product: real-time coaching runs into a precise regulatory framework in France. Recording retention is time-limited there, and a permanent listening arrangement over employees is not permitted.

In practice, Trellus's most distinctive feature is also the one whose use needs framing at your end: informing employees, consulting staff representatives, setting a retention period, declaring a purpose. That is not an insurmountable obstacle, it is preparatory work to plan for.

What Trellus does well

Four points we would rather not write, and which are true.

In-call coaching is a real idea

Analysing speaking pace, silences and interruptions during the conversation to prompt a correction to the rep is technically hard and useful. Nobody else in this section does it, ourselves included.

A broad, documented integration list

Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, Zoho, VanillaSoft, Amplemarket. For an already-equipped team, the odds that its platform is supported are high, and that is the prerequisite that counts.

An accessible individual rate

The promotional rate recorded at $34.99 per user per month lets an individual rep test coaching without a team decision. Few vendors on this market make their product accessible to a single user.

The Y Combinator route

The W22 batch is a serious selection filter. It guarantees nothing about customer satisfaction, but it is a signal about the founding team, and it is publicly verifiable.

The five questions to put to them in writing

Copy these straight into an email. In writing, not on a call: a written answer is binding, a spoken one leaves no trace.

01

The platform prerequisite

“We use [platform]. Is it supported, and does Trellus work without an active subscription to one of the listed platforms?”
02

The real total cost

“For [N] reps, what is the monthly cost of Trellus, given that we already pay [platform] at [amount] per user? And what is the rate of the Business plan, which contains real-time coaching?”
03

How long the promotional rate lasts

“Is the $34.99 rate displayed promotional, for how long, and what will the rate be at the end of it?”
04

Compliance of real-time coaching

“Your real-time coaching analyses the conversation during the call. What data is processed, how long is it kept, and can you send me the documentation our data protection officer needs to assess the case?”
05

European references

“Can you put me in touch with two European customers using real-time coaching, so that I can call them?”

Who it is the right choice for, and who it is not

Trellus is a good choice if

  • you already use Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo or a supported platform
  • in-call coaching is an identified area of improvement for you
  • you want to test the approach on one or two reps before rolling out
  • your organisation knows how to frame a conversation analysis arrangement

Look elsewhere if

  • you are looking for your first tool: Trellus presumes you already have one
  • your sales engagement platform is not on the supported list
  • the regulatory framework for real-time analysis is an obstacle for you
  • you are comparing prices and want to avoid stacking two subscriptions

Frequently asked questions

How much does Trellus cost in 2026? +

The individual plans are advertised at $99.99 for the Power plan and $149.99 for the Parallel plan, per user per month, with a promotional rate of $34.99 recorded on 7 September 2026. The Business plan, the only one containing real-time coaching and team analytics, shows no price. On top of these amounts sits the subscription to the required sales engagement platform.

Does Trellus work on its own? +

No. It is not a telephony carrier but a browser extension that sits on an existing sales engagement platform: Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, Zoho, VanillaSoft or Amplemarket. Without one of them the product does not work. Its price is therefore added to that of your platform, it does not replace it.

Can Trellus’s real-time coaching be used in France? +

It requires a framework. French regulation limits how long call recordings may be kept and does not permit a permanent listening arrangement over employees. Before deploying the feature you must inform employees, consult staff representatives, declare the purpose and set a retention period. That is not an insurmountable obstacle, but it is preparatory work.

Does Trellus have public customer reviews? +

No significant independent corpus exists on the reference platforms as of 7 September 2026. The company was founded in 2022 and went through the Y Combinator W22 batch, which tells you about initial selection but not about customer satisfaction.

Who publishes Trellus? +

Trellus is an American company founded in 2022 in New York, published by Outpost Labs Inc., a Y Combinator W22 alumnus.

Can this review be trusted, published by a competitor? +

We make Skipcall. Trellus is not exactly a competitor, since it sits on other tools rather than replacing them, but our names cross in comparisons. You should read this page knowing that. Which is why we write that its in-call coaching is a real idea nobody else in this section offers, ourselves included.

And where do we fit in

This page judges Trellus; it does not sell Skipcall. If you are at the comparison stage rather than the evaluation stage, the comparative analysis lives elsewhere and is written for that.
