Reviews and pricing

RingCentral: reviews, pricing and full price list (2026)

1.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot across nearly 2,000 reviews, 64% of them one-star. That figure is not about the product: it is about one precise contractual clause, which this page sets out.

The short version

  • RingCentral is an American company founded in 1999, listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2013. It claims more than 600,000 customers and 8,000 staff across 17 countries.
  • The plan comparison published for France mentions no outbound dialer. RingEX is a business phone system, not a prospecting tool.
  • French pricing depends on team size: for 2 to 19 people, the Standard plan is advertised at €14.99 per licence per month on annual commitment.
  • The French terms provide for automatic renewal for a term identical to the initial one, 30 days' notice, and payment of sums remaining due to the end of term in case of early termination.
  • The Trustpilot rating is 1.7 out of 5 across 1,977 reviews, 64% of them one-star. Those reviews concern support reachability, billing and cancellation.

Our bias, stated up front

We make Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as RingCentral. We therefore have a direct financial interest in you not choosing them.

You should read this page knowing that. It is also why it is built the way it is: every claim points to a dated public document you can open yourself. The sources are listed at the foot of the page. Nothing here rests on our word alone.

An entire section below is devoted to what RingCentral does better than us, and we had no interest in writing it. If anything here looks wrong to you, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.

The clause that makes you pay to the end of term

1.7 out of 5 with 64% one-star reviews is a rating you almost never see. It is not explained by the product, which is solid, but by one article of the French terms of sale.

Renewal

Automatic

for a term identical to the initial one

Notice

30 days

to avoid renewal

Early exit

To term

sums remaining due are payable

Taken separately, these three clauses are common. Together they produce an effect many customers discover too late: miss the thirty-day notice and you are renewed for a full year, and if you then want out mid-term, you owe that year anyway.

That is exactly what the 1,264 one-star reviews describe. They do not say the phone rings badly: they say people cannot leave. Product and contract are two separate subjects, and here the second weighs more than the first.

Add a structural point: RingCentral offers no prospecting dialer in France. If that is what you are looking for, the contract question does not even arise, because the product does not answer the need.

What to do about it

If you sign, put the anniversary date in your calendar immediately with a reminder at forty-five days, and send your non-renewal in writing with proof of receipt. It is trivial to do and it is what separates the 19% of satisfied customers from the 64% who are not. Also ask, before signing, whether a termination-for-convenience clause can be negotiated.

What the reviews of RingCentral are worth

This is the lowest rating in this whole section, by a wide margin. It deserves reading precisely rather than being waved about.

Trustpilot

1.7 / 5

1,977 reviews

64% one-star and 19% five-star. The recurring themes do not concern calling features but the commercial relationship: difficulty reaching support, the cancellation procedure, and the gap between what was sold and what was delivered.

Rating distribution

5 ★ 19 %
4 ★ 4 %
3 ★ 5 %
2 ★ 8 %
1 ★ 64 %

One clarification first, because it is only fair: Trustpilot collects unsolicited feedback, often filed at the moment of a dispute. A company with 600,000 customers mechanically attracts the unhappy ones there. This rating measures the commercial relationship, not the technical quality of the service.

That said, 1,264 one-star reviews on the same subject are not a statistical artefact. When the same clause recurs in more than half the feedback, it is no longer a platform bias, it is a signal.

The useful reading is therefore: the product holds, the exit does not. If your organisation has the administrative discipline to manage an anniversary date and a thirty-day notice, that risk is neutralisable. If it does not, it will materialise.

What RingCentral does well

Four points we would rather not write, and which are true.

A solidity nobody here can match

Founded in 1999, listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2013, 600,000 customers, 8,000 staff. For a procurement team assessing ten-year continuity risk, no vendor in this section reaches that level, ourselves included.

Coverage across 46 countries

For a multinational needing to equip offices on several continents under a single contract, that is a decisive argument, and it has no equivalent among prospecting specialists.

French pricing by tier, published

Four public tiers by team size, in euros, on the French site. Many American vendors publish only in dollars and without tiers: this one makes the localisation effort.

The sub-processor list is published

Hosts, processing countries, support centres: all in an accessible document. For filling in a compliance questionnaire that is time saved, and several competitors publish nothing equivalent.

The five questions to put to them in writing

Copy these straight into an email. In writing, not on a call: a written answer is binding, a spoken one leaves no trace.

01

The exit, before anything else

“Your French terms provide for automatic renewal for an identical term and payment of sums remaining due in case of early termination. Do you accept inserting a termination-for-convenience clause with thirty days' notice and no penalty?”
02

The anniversary date

“What will be the exact start and end date of my commitment, and to what address must a non-renewal be sent for it to be enforceable?”
03

The outbound dialer

“Your French plan comparison mentions no outbound prospecting dialer. Do you confirm that no RingEX plan allows automatic dialing of call lists, and that no add-on provides it?”
04

Reducing licence counts

“Can I reduce the number of licences billed during the commitment, and on what conditions?”
05

Support

“What is your contractual response time on a blocking incident and on a billing complaint, and through which channel must it be sent?”

Who it is the right choice for, and who it is not

RingCentral is a good choice if

  • you are equipping a multinational under a single contract across several countries
  • the solidity and durability of the vendor outweigh everything else
  • your need is a complete phone system, not a prospecting tool
  • your organisation rigorously tracks its contract anniversary dates

Look elsewhere if

  • you are looking for a prospecting dialer: no French plan offers one
  • you refuse automatic renewal for an identical term
  • you want to be able to leave mid-commitment without paying to the end
  • you are a small team with no legal function to track notice periods

Frequently asked questions

How much does RingCentral cost in France in 2026? +

French pricing depends on team size, across four public tiers: 1 user, 2 to 19, 20 to 99, and 100 and above. For a team of 2 to 19 people, the Standard plan is advertised at €14.99 per licence per month on annual commitment. Higher plans add analytics, CRM integration and storage. None of these plans contains an outbound prospecting dialer.

Why does RingCentral have 1.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot? +

Across 1,977 reviews, 64% are one-star. The recurring themes do not concern calling features but the commercial relationship: difficulty reaching support, the cancellation procedure, and the gap between what was sold and what was delivered. They correspond to a precise article of the French terms of sale, providing for automatic renewal for an identical term and payment of sums remaining due to the end of term in case of early termination.

Does RingCentral offer a prospecting dialer? +

Not in France. The plan comparison published for the French market mentions no outbound dialer. RingEX is a business phone system, with IVR, recording, video conferencing and team messaging, not a telephone prospecting tool.

How do you cancel a RingCentral subscription? +

The French terms provide for thirty days' notice of non-renewal before the anniversary. If that notice is not observed, the contract renews automatically for a term identical to the initial one. In case of early termination, sums remaining due to the end of term stay payable. Note the anniversary date on signature and send your request in writing with proof of receipt.

Where is RingCentral customer data hosted? +

The vendor publishes a French privacy policy and a sub-processor list showing hosts, processing countries and support centre locations. For a compliance file, request the data processing agreement and check that it explicitly covers the storage of recordings.

Can this review be trusted, published by a competitor? +

We make Skipcall. We do not sell the same product as RingCentral, which is a business phone system, but we meet its salespeople in tenders. You should read this page knowing that. Which is why we state that Trustpilot mechanically attracts disputes, that RingCentral's solidity exceeds ours, and that its 46-country coverage has no equivalent here.

And where do we fit in

This page judges RingCentral; it does not sell Skipcall. If you are at the comparison stage rather than the evaluation stage, the comparative analysis lives elsewhere and is written for that.
