Example: +39 02 1234 5678. - **Mobile **: +39 +39 3, then usually 9 digits (10 digits in total). Example: +39 312 345 6789. ## What you need to know ### A 0 that stays Unlike in France or the UK, Italy keeps the leading 0 of landline numbers after the country code: +39 02 for Milan, not +39 2. Mobile numbers start with 3, with no 0. ### Spoofed calls blocked Since 2025, Italian carriers block calls from abroad that display an Italian number (AGCOM resolution 106/25/CONS), for landlines since August and for mobiles since November.
