# Run a call sequence

Check your number and microphone, set your simultaneous calls, then click Launch sequence to start your Skipcall calling session in a few clicks.

To start a calling session, open your sequence and click **Launch sequence** in the **Call settings** panel. A few quick checks beforehand will save you surprises.

## Before you launch

1. **You have a number assigned.** The sequence’s **Your number** list should show at least one Skipcall number. If not, see [Phone numbers](https://skipcall.io/en/help/phone-numbers).
2. **Your mic and audio work.** Click the sequence’s headset button, pick your **Microphone** and click **Test**, then pick your **Speaker** and click **Play**. The full audio settings live under **Settings > Audio settings**. See [Audio issues](https://skipcall.io/en/help/audio-issues).
3. **The sequence has contacts to call.** By default, the table shows the contacts that haven’t been called or qualified yet.

## Launch the session

1. In the left menu, click **Sequences**.
2. Click the sequence name.
3. Under **Your number**, choose the number people will see.
4. Under **Simultaneous calls**, choose **1 call** (power dialer) or **2** to **4 calls** (parallel dialer).
5. If you like, choose a **Voicemail if answering machine** clip and an **SMS if answering machine** template.
6. Click **Launch sequence**.

## During and after your calls

Every call gives the contact a status (Connected, Voicemail, Busy, No answer, and so on). See [Call statuses](https://skipcall.io/en/help/call-statuses).

After a call, qualify the contact from their record: add a note in the **Notes** tab and create a follow-up task with **Create a task**. See [Tasks and reminders](https://skipcall.io/en/help/tasks-and-reminders).

## Track your results

- The **Statistics** button in the sequence header shows **Call statistics**, **Not contacted**, and **Call performance**.
- The **Statistics** page in the left menu can be filtered by sequence. See [Analytics dashboard](https://skipcall.io/en/help/analytics-dashboard).
- The **Recordings** menu lets you replay calls and read their AI summary. See [Call recordings](https://skipcall.io/en/help/call-recordings).

## The Launch sequence button is grayed out

If the sequence is archived, a banner says the sequence is archived and both its settings and the launch button are grayed out. Click **Restore** in the banner to start calling again. See [Archive or delete a sequence](https://skipcall.io/en/help/archive-delete-sequence).
