# Search, filter and sort your contacts

Find contacts fast in Skipcall: search, filter by field, sort columns, choose which columns to show, and select every matching contact.

The **Contacts** screen shows your contact base as a table. From there you can search, filter the list, sort columns and choose which ones to display.

## Search for a contact

Type a name, a phone number or other details in the search bar at the top of the table. The list narrows down to matching contacts.

## Filter the list

1. Click **Filters**.
2. Click **Select a filter** and pick the field you want to filter on.
3. Choose the condition, then the value.
4. Click **Add filter**.

You can filter on **Company**, **URL**, **Email**, **Country**, **City**, **Sequence name**, **Job title**, **Created on**, **Last call**, **Number of calls**, **Last status**, **Tag**, and each of your custom fields.

Active filters show up as chips. Remove a chip to clear that filter.

## Sort columns

Columns with arrows can be sorted: click their header.

## Choose which columns to show

1. Click the icon (it has no label) at the end of the table header to open the **Columns** panel.
2. Turn each column’s toggle on or off.
3. To reorder, drag the column’s handle.
4. The **Reset** button normally restores the original layout.

On top of the default columns, you can add **Job title**, **Country**, **URL**, **LinkedIn Sales Navigator** and **Modification source**. Your custom fields have their own columns too.

Tags appear in the **Tags** column, read-only.

## Move between pages

The table shows 50 rows per page by default (the **Rows / page** setting). Use **Previous** and **Next** to change pages. A counter at the bottom shows which rows you’re seeing and the total number of contacts matching your search and filters.

## Select every contact in a search

1. Check one row, or the checkbox in the table header, to bring up the green **Selection** bar.
2. Click **Select the N contacts**.

The selection then covers every contact matching your current search and filters, not just the page on screen. With no search or filter, that’s your whole base, so be careful before using **Delete**.

## Common questions

### How do I show the Job title or Country column?

Click the icon at the end of the table header, then turn on that column’s toggle in the **Columns** panel.

### A button in the top right corner is gone

When you plug in a headset or microphone, a “New audio device detected” notification appears in the top right corner and can hide buttons such as **Filters** or **Add contacts**. It goes away on its own after about ten seconds, or you can click **Use**.
