# View your call log

Find your inbound and outbound calls in the Calls menu, call back a missed call, and save an unknown number as a new contact.

Updated on October 27, 2026

The **Calls** menu shows your log of inbound and outbound calls, newest first. Click any call to see its details and the contact record without leaving the page.

## Open the call log

1. In the left menu, click **Calls**.
2. Pick the **All** tab to see every call, or **Missed** to show only the inbound calls you didn’t pick up.
3. Click a row to open its details on the right.

## What each row shows

Every row includes:

- the call type, shown as an icon: a red cross for a missed call, an arrow for an outbound call;
- the contact’s name, or the raw number if the caller isn’t in your contacts yet;
- the phone number;
- the date and time of the call.

You can resize the split between the list and the details: drag the vertical handle to make either side wider.

## Call details

The right side starts with the **Call details** block: date, time, and type (for example **Missed call** or **Canceled call**). To understand each type, see [call statuses](https://skipcall.io/en/help/call-statuses).

Below it, you get the full contact record with its **Information**, **Tasks**, **Sequences**, **Calls**, and **Notes** tabs. You can act right there:

- **Call** the contact or send a text with the buttons next to the number;
- **Enrich** the Email field when it’s empty;
- **Edit** to fill in the record.

## Call back a missed call

1. Open **Calls**.
2. Click the **Missed** tab.
3. Click the call you want to return.
4. Click **Call** next to the number.

## Save an unknown number as a contact

When a number that isn’t in your contacts calls you, the details panel shows an empty record with that number.

1. In **Calls**, click the call’s row.
2. Click **Edit** on the record on the right.
3. Enter the first name, last name, and company.
4. Click **Save**.

## FAQ

### Where can I listen to a call recording?

Recordings aren’t in the call log. They live in the **Recordings** menu, along with the audio, the AI summary, and the transcript. See [call recordings](https://skipcall.io/en/help/call-recordings).

### What’s the difference between a missed call and a no-answer call?

A **missed** call is an inbound call you didn’t pick up in time. A **no-answer** call is a call you placed that rang without the other person picking up.

### Where can I see my team’s total call volume?

The call log lists calls one by one. For volumes, durations, and a breakdown by status, use the [Analytics dashboard](https://skipcall.io/en/help/analytics-dashboard).
