Getting started

# Add a new sales rep

Invite a sales rep to Skipcall, assign a license, give them access to the right workspaces and assign a phone number: the full walkthrough.

Updated on October 27, 2026

To get a new rep up and running, an admin invites them, assigns a license, gives them access to one or more workspaces, then assigns them a phone number. It all happens in the profile menu (your name, bottom left) > **Settings**.

## 1. Invite the rep

1. Go to **Settings > Members**.
2. Click **Invite**.
3. Enter their **Email**.
4. Pick a **Role**: **Admin**, **Member** or **Manager** (**Member** is selected by default).
5. Click **Invite**.

## 2. Assign a license

1. In the **Settings > Members** table, find their row.
2. In the **License** column, pick an available license. Its label shows the plan and the remaining quotas, for example “STARTER · 400 calls · 200 SMS left”.

The badge above the table shows how many licenses are in use out of the total (for example “STARTER 2/4”). If none are left, buy one in **Settings > Licenses**. See [Members, roles and licenses](https://skipcall.io/en/help/members-roles-licenses).

## 3. Give access to workspaces

1. On the same row, open the **Workspace** column.
2. Check one or more workspaces (you can search or use **Select all**).
3. Click **Close**.

## 4. Assign a phone number

1. Go to **Settings > Assigned numbers**.
2. For an available number, pick the **Workspace**.
3. Pick the rep under **Assigned to**.

You can do the same from the workspace: **Configuration > Phone Numbers > Assign to a member**.

## 5. Check that everything is in place

- In **Settings > Members**, a member with a license appears in the **ACTIVE** group with the **Active** status.
- On the workspace side, they show up in **Configuration > Members**.

The rep can now set up their microphone and start their first session: see [Your first call session](https://skipcall.io/en/help/first-call-session).

## FAQ

### My rep shows as “Deactivated”

In **Settings > Members**, every member without a license shows as **Deactivated**. Assign them an available license in the **License** column. The **⋮** menu on their row also offers **Reactivate account**. If the account stays deactivated, contact the Skipcall team through the chat.

### They have a different role or status in the workspace

That can happen: **Configuration > Members** shows the role and status for that specific workspace, which can differ from the organization level. For licenses and account activation, go by **Settings > Members**.

### I can’t find them under “Add a member” in the workspace

They first need to be invited to the organization (**Settings > Members > Invite**). If they’re already in the workspace, they normally won’t appear in that list.
