# Ringover vs CloudTalk

Ringover keeps all its data in France but shuts French teams out of its parallel dialer. CloudTalk covers 160 countries and scatters its data. Prices and compliance.

We build Skipcall, and we sell to the same teams as Ringover and CloudTalk. We therefore have a commercial interest in you choosing neither, and you should read this page knowing that.

That is why Skipcall appears nowhere in the comparison below: not in the table, not in the verdict, not in the questions. Every claim here points to a dated public source, listed at the foot of the page. If something looks wrong, write to us: we will correct it and date the correction.

In short

## The essentials in five sentences

- Ringover is published by SAS BJT PARTNERS, a French company founded in 2005 with its head office in Montrouge. CloudTalk is published by CloudTalk s.r.o., a Slovak company founded in 2016 in Bratislava.
- As of 8 September 2026, Ringover publishes three plans billed annually, from €21 to €54 per user per month, and CloudTalk four plans from €19 to €49 per licence per month: the two price lists cross, Ringover being cheaper at entry and CloudTalk cheaper at the top.
- Ringover hosts all of its data in centres located in France, with no transfer outside the European Union. CloudTalk stores call recordings and artificial intelligence data in Germany, but its other data may sit in four AWS regions, among them North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney.
- Neither includes parallel dialing in a plan: at Ringover it is an add-on capped at two simultaneous calls and unavailable in France, at CloudTalk an add-on billed at €39 per licence per month.
- The public ratings recorded on 8 September 2026 are close: 4.6 out of 5 on G2 and 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot for Ringover, 4.4 out of 5 on G2 and 4.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot for CloudTalk.

Which of the two

If your legal team requires that nothing leaves France, Ringover is the only one of the two to guarantee it, and you then have to accept that its parallel dialer will not be opened to you. If you prospect across several countries and need local numbers outside Europe, CloudTalk covers ground Ringover does not, at the cost of a data map spanning three continents that you will have to document. For a purely French business phone system with no need for parallel dialing, Ringover is cheaper at entry and speaks French on support.

The point that decides

## Geography works the opposite way round on each side

Both vendors are European, well rated, and sell roughly the same product. What really separates them is the way the map of the world applies to their offer: at Ringover it protects the data and blocks a feature, at CloudTalk it opens the features and scatters the data.

At Ringover, geography is first of all a guarantee. The vendor states that all the data centres holding the data its services require are located in France, with no transfer outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, with hosting providers certified ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and HDS. That is the highest level anyone can ask for on that criterion. But the same map turns against the French buyer as soon as the dialer comes up: the vendor's help centre states that the parallel dialer is open in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom, and not in France. A Paris team therefore gets the better data location of the duel and a ban on using the feature that would have made it choose the tool.

At CloudTalk, geography works exactly the other way. The vendor offers local numbers in more than 160 countries, which is the wider coverage of the two, and its parallel dialer is open with no territory restriction, provided you pay the add-on of €39 per licence per month. In return, the privacy centre describes a data map on two levels: call recordings and artificial intelligence data are stored in Germany, but the other categories may be processed in four Amazon Web Services regions, Frankfurt, North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney, each sub-processor being covered by standard contractual clauses.

For a buyer who has to put a compliance file together, the consequence is clear and it is almost never spelled out: the two vendors answer two different questions on the questionnaire. To where is my data physically held, Ringover answers in one line and CloudTalk in a five-row table. To which certifications does the vendor hold in its own name, CloudTalk answers SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 for itself, while Ringover points to the certifications of its hosting providers. Depending on whether your security questionnaire presses on location or on attestations, it is not the same one of the two that fills the box without argument.

The table

Which one for which use

## Two situations, two answers

### Ringover is the right choice if

- none of your data may leave France, and you need to be able to write that in one line in your compliance file
- what you need is a complete business phone system, switchboard and routing included, rather than a prospecting dialer
- your budget is judged on the entry plan: €21 per user per month billed annually, against €25 on the other side
- support in French is a condition set by your procurement team, which Ringover advertises and CloudTalk does not

### CloudTalk is the right choice if

- you prospect across several markets and need local numbers in a great many countries
- parallel dialing is essential to you from France, where the other vendor's add-on will not be opened to you
- your security questionnaire calls for certifications held by the vendor itself, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 being published
- you are equipping a single person to begin with: the Starter and Essential plans start at one licence, where the other vendor's prospecting plans require three

The limits

## What each one does not do

### Ringover limits

- The parallel dialer is documented as available in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom only. A team prospecting from France cannot buy it, and that restriction sits in the help centre rather than on the sales page.
- Where the add-on is open, it caps at two simultaneous calls and is billed on top of the plan.
- The Business and Advanced plans require three licences minimum and a twelve-month commitment, with automatic renewal and a termination request to be sent at least thirty days before the term ends.
- On Trustpilot, 17% of the 1,079 reviews are one-star and cluster on getting into and out of the contract, number porting and termination first, rather than on the calling features.

### CloudTalk limits

- The parallel dialer is included in no plan: it is billed at €39 per licence per month on top, which brings the total to €264 a month for three reps on the Expert plan, licence minimum included.
- Part of the data may be processed outside the European Union, in the AWS regions of North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney, which forces you to document category by category what stays in Europe.
- On Trustpilot, 16% of the 785 reviews are one-star and are mainly about billing, refunds and support response times.
- Support in French is not advertised by the vendor, even though the company has a presence in Prague, Barcelona, London, Lisbon, Munich, Toronto, New York and Mexico City.

What neither of them does

- Neither includes parallel dialing in a plan: it is a paid add-on on both sides, to be added to the price of the licence.
- Neither brings together in one file full location in France and certifications held by the vendor in its own name: Ringover has the first, CloudTalk the second.
- Both require three licences minimum on their most complete plan, Business and Advanced at Ringover, Expert at CloudTalk: the real entry cost is never that of a single licence.
- Neither Ringover nor CloudTalk was born out of outbound prospecting: the first comes from business telephony, the second from the contact centre, and parallel dialing is at both a late addition sold separately.

Frequently asked questions

## Short answers

**Ringover or CloudTalk, which to choose in 2026?**

It depends on the constraint that weighs most on your choice. If no data may leave France, Ringover is the only one of the two to host all of its data on French soil, with no transfer outside the European Union. If you need local numbers in a great many countries, or parallel dialing from France, CloudTalk is the only one of the two able to sell it, as an add-on at €39 per licence per month. Recorded on 8 September 2026.

**Which is cheaper between Ringover and CloudTalk?**

The two price lists cross. As of 8 September 2026, billed annually, Ringover is cheaper at entry with the Smart plan at €21 per user per month, against €25 for CloudTalk's Starter plan. At the top of the range it is the other way round: CloudTalk's Expert plan is €49 per licence per month, against €54 for Ringover's Advanced plan. The comparison therefore tips according to the plan level you are aiming at, and the add-ons then have to be added on top.

**Which one for a team prospecting from France?**

On the single criterion of parallel dialing, CloudTalk, because it is the only one of the two whose add-on is open to French customers. Ringover's help centre states as of 8 September 2026 that its parallel dialer is available in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom, and that it caps at two simultaneous calls. At CloudTalk, the add-on costs €39 per licence per month on top of the plan, which is €264 a month for three reps on the Expert plan.

**Where is Ringover data hosted, and CloudTalk data?**

Ringover states that all the data centres holding the data its services require are located in France, with no transfer outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, with hosting providers certified ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and HDS. CloudTalk stores call recordings and artificial intelligence data in Germany, but its other data may be processed in four Amazon Web Services regions: Frankfurt, North Virginia, Singapore and Sydney, each sub-processor being covered by standard contractual clauses. Recorded on 8 September 2026.

**Which of the two offers a real parallel dialer?**

Both offer one, neither includes it. At Ringover it is a paid add-on capped at two simultaneous calls and available only in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom. At CloudTalk it is an add-on at €39 per licence per month, with no published country restriction, whose number of simultaneous calls is configurable in the settings. In both cases the advertised plan price does not cover the feature.

**Do Ringover and CloudTalk require a licence minimum?**

Yes, both, but not on the same plans. At Ringover, the Business plan at €44 and the Advanced plan at €54 per user per month require three licences minimum and a twelve-month commitment. At CloudTalk, the Expert plan at €49 per licence per month likewise requires three licences, while the Starter and Essential plans start at a single licence. Recorded on 8 September 2026.

**Can you move from Ringover to CloudTalk, or the other way round?**

Yes, phone numbers port from one operator to another in both directions. The procedure and the timescales vary with the country the number came from, which matters more when leaving CloudTalk, whose numbers may have been opened in any of the 160 countries covered. In both cases, ask for the timetable and any fees in writing, and start porting before you terminate. At Ringover, allow for the thirty days notice before the end of the annual commitment.

**What are the public reviews of Ringover and CloudTalk worth?**

Both are well rated over meaningful volumes. Ringover gets 4.6 out of 5 on G2 over close to 500 reviews and 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot over 1,079 reviews, of which 70% are five-star and 17% one-star. CloudTalk gets 4.4 out of 5 on G2 over more than 1,600 reviews and 4.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot over 785 reviews, of which 66% are five-star and 16% one-star. At both, the harshest reviews are about the contract, the billing and support, rarely about the calling features.
