# lemlist In-App Calling in 2026: Minutes, Destination Pricing, Power Dialer and Limits

lemlist added calling to its multichannel sequences in 2025. A year later it reaches 90+ countries, bills calls in minutes weighted by destination and ships a power dialer in beta. What each plan includes, how a call is really billed, which numbers you can buy, what the power dialer does and does not do, and when a team outgrows it. Facts checked on lemlist's help center and product pages on November 6, 2026.

400 min

of calling per user per month on Multichannel Expert, 800 on Enterprise, per lemlist (checked November 6, 2026)

×8

the highest destination multiplier quoted by lemlist: one real minute to a Premium country counts as eight

1 line

the lemlist power dialer calls one number at a time, with at most 5 attempts per number per month

lemlist started as a cold email tool, added LinkedIn steps, then put a phone inside the sequence. Since 2025, a rep can call a lead straight from a lemlist task, with the number, the history of emails and LinkedIn touches and the next step of the campaign on the same screen. One year after launch, lemlist reported more than 2 million calls placed and coverage of 90+ countries, up from 30 at launch.

For a team whose calls are one step among many, that is a real convenience: no second tool, no copy and paste, the outcome logged where the campaign lives. For a team that calls for hours every day, the details start to matter: how minutes are counted, which countries cost eight times more, which numbers you can buy, what the power dialer actually does. This article goes through those details one by one. **Every lemlist fact below comes from lemlist’s [help center](https://help.lemlist.com/en/collections/19639842-calling-messaging), its [calling product page](https://www.lemlist.com/product/calling) and its [one-year calling update](https://www.lemlist.com/blog/in-app-calling-one-year-90-countries-and-2-million-calls-later), checked on November 6, 2026.** Where two lemlist pages disagree, we say so.

## What lemlist’s calling includes, plan by plan

lemlist sells calling as part of its multichannel plans, not as a separate product. The table below gathers what lemlist publishes. Plan prices are not shown on the help center pages we read; the figures in the first row are the ones our own [LinkedIn prospecting tools comparison](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/linkedin-prospecting-tools) and several 2026 pricing guides report, so confirm them on lemlist’s pricing page before you budget.

| Plan | Calling access | Minutes included | What to check |
| - | - | - | - |
| Email plans Email only | No in-app calling | None | Calls stay manual tasks: the rep dials from another tool |
| Multichannel Expert About $109 per user a month, $87 on annual billing (reported) | In-app calling, power dialer (beta) | 400 minutes per user per month | Minutes are weighted by destination, so 400 can mean 50 real minutes to a Premium country |
| Enterprise On quote, minimum seats apply | In-app calling, power dialer (beta) | 800 minutes per user per month | Ask how unused minutes and pooled usage are handled across the team |
| Free trial Pages disagree | Current help center: not available during the trial | None stated | Early-2025 update notes listed the trial; test calling in your own trial before you rely on it |

The minute allowances went up in 2026. lemlist’s one-year post says Multichannel Expert moved from 100 to 400 minutes per user per month, and Enterprise from 300 to 800. That change is significant: at 100 minutes, a rep who spends half an hour a day on the phone ran out in a week. At 400, the same rep lasts most of the month on domestic calls.

2M+

calls placed in lemlist's first year of calling, per lemlist

30 → 90+

countries reachable, at launch and one year later

100 → 400

minutes per user per month on Multichannel Expert

One detail matters for budgeting: lemlist’s allowance is expressed per user, while the counter that gets drawn down is described in the help center as a team counter. In practice, a team of five on Multichannel Expert should plan around 2,000 billed minutes for the whole team, and check in the app whether a heavy caller can consume a colleague’s share.

## How a lemlist call is billed: minutes, credits and destination tiers

This is the part most teams misread. A lemlist minute is not a minute on the clock. It is a billed minute, and three rules turn the real call into billed minutes.

1. 01

   #### Round up the duration:

The real duration of the call is rounded up to the next full minute. A 20-second conversation counts as one minute; a call of 2 minutes and 5 seconds counts as three.

2. 02

   #### Apply the destination tier:

lemlist sorts countries into four destination tiers. The rounded duration is multiplied by the tier’s multiplier: ×1 for the cheapest tier, up to ×8 for Premium destinations. lemlist’s own example is South Africa, a Premium destination where one real minute deducts eight minutes from the counter.

3. 03

   #### Convert into credits:

Billed minutes are drawn from your balance at 4 credits per billed minute. A Basic call costs 4 credits per real minute; a Premium call costs 32 credits per real minute.

The full country-by-tier table lives in lemlist’s help center article on supported countries and rates. We did not find the names and multipliers of the two middle tiers in the pages we could read, so check where your own target countries sit before you size a campaign.

### What is billed and what is not

lemlist’s help center states that a call is billed when it connects, which means when the lead picks up **or when the call reaches voicemail**. Calls that ring out without connecting, busy lines and numbers that fail are not billed. lemlist’s marketing summarizes this as “unanswered calls are free”; the precise rule is narrower, because a call that lands on a voicemail greeting and is cut after ten seconds still costs a billed minute.

## Phone numbers: what you can buy, what you can connect

To call from lemlist, you need a number on the account. lemlist offers two routes.

**Buy a number in lemlist.** From Call settings, a rep or admin adds a number, filters by country and line type, and buys it. The product page prices a local number at $15 per month and lists the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Belgium; one help article adds Canada. Belgian and Spanish numbers require regulatory documents first.

**Connect a number you own.** lemlist lets you connect an existing number at no extra cost. The help center lists eligible countries for this route (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada and Colombia appear in the extract we read). This keeps the caller ID your prospects already know.

Spain shows how local rules shape the offer. Per lemlist’s help center, a Spanish number requires the end client to have a Spanish legal entity, a valid CIF tax number and an address in the region; lemlist’s team then orders the number manually through its carrier, Twilio, and assigns it to the account. The number is billed $15 per month. Expect similar paperwork in every country where the regulator requires proof of a local presence. Our [business phone number requirements tool](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/business-phone-number-requirements) lists the documents country by country.

Calling coverage and number coverage are two different lists. You can call 90+ countries (one help article says 100) from a number in one of the few countries where lemlist sells numbers. That matters for answer rates: a prospect in Italy sees a French or British number calling, not a local one.

## The lemlist power dialer: one line, in beta

In 2026 lemlist added a power dialer, labeled beta on its product page. It turns a list of call tasks into a session, so the rep no longer clicks each task to start the next call.

1. 01

   #### Select the call tasks:

In Tasks, the rep ticks the call tasks to include, usually the call steps that are due across several campaigns.

2. 02

   #### Launch the session:

The Launch power dialer button opens a call session window listing the selected contacts. Unsubscribed leads and invalid numbers are removed automatically at launch; the review step lets you enrich missing numbers first.

3. 03

   #### Dial one number at a time:

lemlist calls the first contact, the rep talks or moves on, logs the outcome, and the next call starts. The session runs until the list is done or the rep clicks Stop.

The help center lists the limits plainly, and they are worth reading before you plan a calling block around this feature.

#### What it does well

- Removes the click between two calls: the next number dials by itself.
- Works from the tasks your sequences already create, so no separate call list to build.
- Filters unsubscribed leads and invalid numbers before the first call.
- Keeps the email and LinkedIn history next to the call.

#### What it does not do (yet)

- One number at a time: no parallel dialing on several lines.
- At most 5 attempts to the same number per month in power dialer mode.
- Uses lemlist-bought numbers by default.
- No end-of-session recap and no advanced reporting, per the help center.

The 5-attempt cap is a deliberate safeguard against over-calling a lead, and it is sensible for most cold lists. It becomes a constraint on hot lists, for example inbound leads you want to reach the same day after two missed attempts each morning. Outside a power dialer session, the help center says you can still call the lead manually.

Some third-party roundups describe the lemlist power dialer as hanging up on voicemails and connecting the rep only when a person answers. We did not find that behavior in lemlist’s own help center, so treat it as unconfirmed until you test it.

## Recording, transcription and CRM sync

lemlist’s product pages and update notes describe the same chain after each call: the call is recorded, transcribed, summarized by AI, and synced to your CRM. For a sequencing tool, that closes a loop that used to break: the rep no longer has to retype what was said, and the next step of the campaign can use the outcome.

> A call step is only useful if its outcome changes what the sequence does next.

Two points deserve attention before you switch recording on for every rep.

**Consent.** Recording rules depend on where the person you call is located. Several US states require every party to consent, the UK and the EU require you to inform the person and to have a lawful basis for the recording, and some countries add stricter rules. lemlist does not describe a consent workflow in the pages we checked. The usual practice is a short announcement at the start of the call. Our [call recording notice generator](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/call-recording-notice-generator) drafts that sentence in the language of the call.

**What the summary is for.** An AI summary is a convenience for the rep and the manager. It is not a substitute for a structured outcome: a sequence condition needs a clear status (meeting booked, callback, wrong number, not interested), not a paragraph. Check which fields lemlist writes to your CRM, and map them to the statuses your reporting uses.

## What lemlist calling does not cover

The list below is not a criticism. lemlist built calling as a channel inside a sequencing tool, not as a telephony platform, and it is consistent with that choice. These are the points a team discovers once calling grows.

**No native parallel dialing.** The power dialer calls one line at a time. Teams that want to dial several numbers at once use a third-party dialer that integrates with lemlist; Trellus and PowerDialer.ai both market a lemlist integration.

**No published daily cap per number.** lemlist encourages switching between numbers to lower spam risk but does not publish a ceiling. Your caller ID reputation is your responsibility.

**Limited session reporting.** No end-of-session recap or advanced reporting in power dialer mode yet, per the help center. Managers who coach on connect rate and talk time need another view.

**No inbound call handling.** lemlist can notify you when a lead calls back, but it is not a business phone system: no call queues, no IVR, no call routing.

### Caller ID reputation

Every outbound team eventually meets the “Spam Likely” label. Carriers and phone apps score numbers on volume, short calls and complaints; none of them publish their thresholds. lemlist’s advice is to rotate numbers, and it is the right instinct. Industry guidance varies widely: some vendors recommend staying under 75 to 100 dials per number per day, our own guidance on [why caller IDs get marked as spam](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/caller-id-marked-spam) puts the ceiling higher with registration and rotation in place. Use the [phone number rotation calculator](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/phone-number-rotation-calculator) to see how many numbers your volume needs, and budget $15 per month for each extra lemlist number.

## How much calling does 400 minutes really buy?

The minute pool is the first limit most teams hit, so it is worth converting it into conversations before you commit.

≈ 36

billed minutes per day in our domestic example (60 dials, 8 conversations)

Day 11

when a 400-minute allowance runs out at that pace, on Basic-tier calls

≈ 130

conversations a month a 400-minute pool covers at 3 billed minutes each, with no voicemail at all

The last figure is a ceiling, not a forecast: it assumes every billed minute is spent talking to a person in a Basic-tier country. Real lists add voicemail minutes and rounding. A useful rule of thumb from the examples above: on domestic cold lists, plan for **2 to 3 billed minutes per connected call** once voicemails are counted, and divide your allowance by that figure to know how many connected calls a rep can make each month.

If you want to size the whole funnel, our [prospecting calculator](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/prospecting-calculator) turns a meeting target into dials, connected calls and hours, and the [cost per meeting calculator](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/cost-per-meeting) adds the cost of data and tools.

## Compliance before the first call

lemlist removes unsubscribed leads from power dialer sessions, which is a good start. It does not replace the rules of the countries you call.

| Market | Main rules for B2B calls | What to set up in lemlist |
| - | - | - |
| United States TCPA, FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule | Business numbers are generally outside the National Do Not Call Registry, but cell phones get extra protection under the TCPA, and some states add their own rules | Scrub lists of personal cell phones you have no consent for; keep an internal do-not-call list and respect it across campaigns |
| United Kingdom PECR, TPS and CTPS | Business numbers registered on the Corporate TPS must not receive unsolicited sales calls | Screen against TPS and CTPS before each campaign; record opt-outs as unsubscribes |
| European Union GDPR, national rules | Legitimate interest can cover B2B calls if the call relates to the person’s job; inform the person and honor objections | Store the source of each number and the date you informed the lead |

This is general information, not legal advice. Our [cold calling compliance checker](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/cold-calling-compliance-checker) shows the calling hours, holidays and opt-out lists that apply country by country, and our guide to [cold calling cell phones](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/cold-calling-cell-phones) covers the TCPA side in detail.

## A month of calling in lemlist: a worked example

Abstract rules are easy to agree with and hard to budget. Here is a team of five SDRs on Multichannel Expert, selling to mid-size companies in the United States and the United Kingdom, with a small share of calls to South Africa for one reseller campaign. The figures use only the rules lemlist publishes and assumptions we state.

Three levers change that picture, and none of them requires leaving lemlist. First, cut the voicemail minutes: decide whether reps leave messages at all, and hang up early on greetings when they do not. Second, isolate Premium destinations: put them on a separate campaign with its own budget, or call them from a tool that bills them at a known rate. Third, clean the list before the session: every switchboard and dead number that connects to a recording costs a billed minute for nothing.

## Setting up lemlist calling for a team

The defaults work for one rep testing calling. A team needs a few decisions made once, before the first session.

#### Numbers and caller ID

- One number per rep at least, two for reps who dial more than an hour a day.
- Buy in the country you call most; connect existing numbers prospects already know.
- Register business numbers with carrier registration services where available, to reduce spam labels.
- Keep a written rotation plan: which number calls which campaign.

#### Outcomes and CRM

- Define four to six call outcomes and use the same names everywhere.
- Map each outcome to a sequence condition: stop, continue, pause, move to another campaign.
- Check which fields lemlist writes to the CRM and where the recording and summary land.
- Agree on who updates the deal when a call books a meeting.

#### Minutes and budget

- Read the tier of every country on your lists before you launch.
- Track billed minutes per rep weekly, not monthly.
- Count $15 per month for each additional lemlist number.
- Decide in advance what happens when the pool runs out mid-month.

## Measuring whether calling inside lemlist works

Calling inside a sequence is easy to switch on and hard to evaluate, because the call is mixed with emails and LinkedIn steps. Five numbers tell you whether the phone step earns its place.

| Metric | How to read it | Warning sign |
| - | - | - |
| Connect rate Connected calls ÷ dials | Depends on the share of mobiles in your list and the time of day | Under 5% on a list of mobiles: check numbers and caller ID reputation |
| Conversation rate Calls with a person ÷ dials | The real output of a calling session | Most connects are voicemails: test other time slots with our when-to-call tool |
| Billed minutes per conversation Billed minutes ÷ conversations | Tells you how long your allowance really lasts | Above 5 on domestic lists: voicemail and rounding eat the pool |
| Meetings per 100 dials Meetings booked from call steps | Compare with the same campaigns without a call step | No difference after a month: rethink the timing or the script |
| Sequence lift Reply or meeting rate of called vs non-called leads | The best argument for keeping calls in the sequence | Lift only on leads who already replied: call earlier in the sequence |

For the timing side, our [when to call tool](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/when-to-call) shows each prospect’s local time and the best slots, and our benchmark of [cold call connect rates](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/cold-call-connect-rate-benchmarks) gives ranges to compare against.

## Questions to ask lemlist before you commit

lemlist’s documentation answers most questions, but a few depend on your account and your countries. Ask them during the trial or the sales call, and keep the answers in writing.

- Which tier is each of our target countries in, and has the tier list changed in the last year?
- Is the minute counter pooled across the team or strictly per user, and do unused minutes expire at the end of the month?
- Can we buy more minutes, at what price per billed minute, and per tier?
- Which number countries are available self-serve today, and what documents are needed for the others?
- When does the power dialer leave beta, and is a session recap on the roadmap?
- Which call fields sync to our CRM, and can the recording be switched off per rep or per country?

## When lemlist calling is enough, and when it is not

The right question is not whether lemlist’s calling is good. It is whether calling is a step in your sequences or the main activity of your reps.

#### lemlist calling is enough when

- Calls are one or two steps per sequence, mostly to engaged leads.
- Reps spend less than an hour a day on the phone.
- Most of your list is in Basic-tier countries.
- You value one tool and one history over raw dialing speed.

#### Add a dedicated dialer when

- Reps block two hours or more of calling every day.
- The minute pool runs out mid-month, or Premium tiers eat it.
- Connect rates under 10% leave reps listening to ring tones most of the hour.
- Managers need session reporting: dials, connects, talk time per rep.

The time lost between two conversations is the hidden cost of single-line dialing. On a cold list, most dials end in no answer or voicemail, so a rep on one line spends most of the hour waiting. A parallel dialer calls several numbers at once and connects the rep to the first person who answers. Our comparison of a [parallel dialer and a power dialer](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/parallel-dialer-vs-power-dialer) explains when each one fits, and our guide on [how many lines a parallel dialer should run](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/how-many-lines-parallel-dialer) covers the trade-off between speed and the experience of the prospect.

Keeping lemlist does not mean choosing. The usual setup keeps lemlist for emails and LinkedIn steps, sends leads that reach a call step to a dialer, and writes the call outcome back to lemlist so the sequence continues or stops.

## How Skipcall fits this workflow

Skipcall is a calling platform for outbound teams: a power dialer and a parallel dialer on up to 4 lines, AI voicemail detection, recording, transcription and AI summaries, numbers in 160+ countries. Its contact base can enrich the leads you already have, from a CSV or your CRM, but it is not a contact database. With our [lemlist integration](https://skipcall.io/en/integrations/lemlist), leads that reach a call step move into a Skipcall call session, and the outcome goes back to the campaign. Plans with the dialers start from $70 per user per month on annual billing ([pricing](https://skipcall.io/en/pricing)).

## Other in-app dialers worth comparing

lemlist is not the only data or engagement tool that added a phone. Apollo ships a dialer with its own plans, credits and add-on; we review it in [Apollo dialer: what it includes and its limits](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/apollo-dialer-limits). LeadIQ opened a power dialer beta in October 2026, covered in our [LeadIQ Power Dialer review](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/leadiq-power-dialer-review). HubSpot’s native calling has its own minute pools, detailed in [HubSpot calling limits](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/hubspot-calling-limits). For the full market, see our [best sales dialer software](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-sales-dialer-software) comparison.

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

**Which lemlist plans include in-app calling?**

Per lemlist's help center checked on November 6, 2026, in-app calling requires the Multichannel Expert plan or Enterprise. Multichannel Expert includes 400 calling minutes per user per month and Enterprise 800. Older product notes from early 2025 also listed the free trial; the current help center says calling is not available during the trial, so check your own account.

**How does lemlist bill a call?**

Calls draw on your minutes, counted in credits at 4 credits per billed minute. The real duration is rounded up to the next full minute, then multiplied by the destination's tier: ×1 for the cheapest tier and up to ×8 for Premium destinations such as South Africa, according to lemlist's example. A call is billed when it connects, which includes reaching voicemail. Calls that never connect are not billed.

**Can I get a local phone number in lemlist?**

Yes. lemlist sells local numbers for $15 per month in a handful of countries listed on its product page (United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium; one help article adds Canada). Spanish numbers need a Spanish legal entity and are ordered manually by lemlist's team. You can also connect a number you already own at no extra cost.

**Does lemlist have a power dialer or a parallel dialer?**

lemlist has a power dialer, labeled beta on its product page: you select call tasks, launch a session and lemlist dials one number at a time. The help center caps attempts to the same number at 5 per month in power dialer mode and says there is no end-of-session recap or advanced reporting yet. lemlist does not offer native parallel dialing; some third-party dialers sell parallel calling on top of lemlist.

**Does lemlist record and transcribe calls?**

lemlist's product pages and update notes say calls are recorded, transcribed and summarized by AI, then synced to your CRM. Recording rules depend on the countries and states you call: in all-party consent jurisdictions you must announce the recording. lemlist does not publish a consent workflow in the pages we checked.

**How many calls can I make per day with lemlist?**

lemlist does not publish a per-number daily cap in the pages we checked. What limits you in practice is the minute pool (400 or 800 per user per month), the destination multiplier, the 5-attempt cap per number in power dialer mode, and the reputation of your caller ID. Spreading volume over several numbers lowers the risk of being flagged as spam.

**When should a lemlist team add a dedicated dialer?**

When calling stops being a step in the sequence and becomes a block of the day: reps who dial for two hours or more, a minute pool that runs out mid-month, international lists that hit Premium tiers, or a manager who needs session reporting. A dedicated power or parallel dialer can sit next to lemlist and send the outcome back to the campaign.
