# HubSpot Calling Limits: Minutes, Pricing, Phone Numbers and Alternatives (2026)

HubSpot's calling tool comes with Sales Hub and Service Hub from the Starter edition: 500, 3,000 or 12,000 minutes a month depending on the edition, shared by the whole account. What each edition really includes, where HubSpot can give you a number, recording, transcription, the power dialer limited to Enterprise, what the tool doesn't do, and the alternatives. Every HubSpot figure comes from HubSpot's official documentation and pricing page, checked on November 5, 2026.

3,000 min

of calling per month for the whole account on Sales Hub Professional: 30 minutes per rep per day for a team of 5 (over 20 working days)

2×

minutes used when you call from a registered phone, according to HubSpot's documentation

Enterprise

the only Sales Hub edition that includes HubSpot's native power dialer

HubSpot’s calling tool lets reps call from the browser, straight from a contact record, and logs the call on the CRM timeline automatically. It’s included in Sales Hub and Service Hub from the Starter edition, with a pool of 500, 3,000 or 12,000 minutes per month depending on the edition, shared by every user on the account.

For a team that calls occasionally, that’s often enough. For a team that prospects by phone all day, the limits show up fast: pooled minutes, phone numbers subject to each country’s rules, transcription reserved for higher editions, and a power dialer limited to Enterprise. This article goes through those limits one by one. **Every HubSpot figure below comes from HubSpot’s [official pricing page](https://www.hubspot.com/pricing/sales) and [knowledge base](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/use-the-calling-tool), checked on November 5, 2026.** If you’re looking for a tool to replace or complement the native one, our roundup of the [best HubSpot dialers](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-hubspot-dialers) reviews them.

## What does each edition include?

The table below combines the Sales Hub pricing page and HubSpot’s documentation. Prices are per seat per month, as displayed by HubSpot.

| | Free tools | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| Displayed price per seat per month | $0 | from $7 (new-customer discount, paid annually), $20 on a monthly commitment | $90 on an annual commitment, $100 paid monthly | from $150 |
| Required onboarding fee | none | none shown | $1,500 | $3,500 |
| Calling minutes per month (account) | none | 500 | 3,000 | 12,000 |
| HubSpot-provided phone numbers | none | 1 | up to 3 | up to 5 |
| Call recording | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Transcription | no | no | 750 h per account per month | 1,500 h per account per month |
| Interactive voice response | no | no | yes | yes |
| Native power dialer | no | no | no | yes |
| Buy extra minutes | no | no | yes | yes |

HubSpot flags the $7 Starter price as a discount for new customers only.

Two notes on seats. On Professional and Enterprise, reps need an assigned Sales or Service seat to make calls. On Starter, users with an assigned Core Seat can also call, per the [calling tool documentation](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/use-the-calling-tool).

## How do HubSpot calling minutes work?

This is the most misunderstood limit. Minutes aren’t assigned per user: **each HubSpot account has a pooled limit of calling minutes shared between all users**, set by the subscription. Four rules follow, all written in HubSpot’s documentation:

1. **The pool resets on the first day of each month.** If it runs out mid-call, the call in progress can finish, but no new call can start until the 1st of the next month.
2. **A call placed from a registered phone uses twice the minutes**, because it’s two separate calls: HubSpot rings your phone first, then the contact.
3. **Only Professional and Enterprise can buy extra minutes.** Their price isn’t on the public pricing page; it shows in the account’s billing area.
4. **Limits don’t stack across products.** HubSpot’s [product and services catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) gives the example of an account with both Sales Hub Professional and Service Hub Professional: the limit stays at 3,000 minutes per month, not 6,000.

### The math for a prospecting team

Let’s bring the pool down to one rep, over 20 working days a month.

| Edition | Minutes per month | Team | Minutes per rep per day | From a registered phone |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| Starter | 500 | 5 reps | 5 min | 2.5 min |
| Professional | 3,000 | 5 reps | 30 min | 15 min |
| Enterprise | 12,000 | 10 reps | 60 min | 30 min |

Formula: account minutes ÷ number of reps ÷ 20 days. Now take a simple assumption, to be replaced with your own numbers: a rep making 60 dials a day, with one billed minute per dial on average (unanswered rings, voicemails and conversations combined). That rep uses 60 minutes a day, or 1,200 minutes a month. A team of 5 burns through Professional’s 3,000 minutes by the end of the 10th working day (5 × 60 minutes × 10 days). Enterprise’s 12,000 minutes cover 10 reps at that pace, no more.

## Which phone numbers and which countries?

Each edition comes with a limited number of HubSpot-provided numbers, labeled “not supported in all countries”. The [country list](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/calling-supported-countries-and-phone-number-availability), last updated September 14, 2026, covers around fifty countries, including the United States and Canada (mobile and local), the United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and most of Western Europe. Rules vary a lot:

- **United Kingdom**: new UK numbers for voice need an approved regulatory bundle, and existing numbers need one to keep making voice calls.
- **France**: 06 and 07 numbers are reserved for personal use, outbound calls from registered +336 and +337 numbers are no longer supported, and new French mobile numbers can’t be registered since June 1, 2025.
- **Italy**: outbound calls from registered +393 mobile numbers are no longer supported.
- **Spain**: regulation sets October 17, 2026 as the date by which commercial and telemarketing calls must use the new 400 number range.
- **Outside the list**: in India, local outbound calls are no longer supported; calls to Japan from any HubSpot-registered number have the caller ID blocked.

HubSpot-provided numbers go through a one-time regulatory review before activation, and each rep must verify their own outbound number by SMS or phone call, per the [phone number management page](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/manage-phone-numbers-registered-for-calling).

## Recording and transcription: what changes with the seat

Call recording is available on every Sales Hub and Service Hub edition and turned on by default for new accounts. Only a Super Admin, or a user with account access permissions, can switch it off. The documentation describes a customizable consent message played before inbound calls are recorded; it doesn’t describe an equivalent for outbound calls, so informing the other party is on you. Our [call recording notice generator](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/call-recording-notice-generator) helps draft the wording.

Transcription is reserved for Professional and Enterprise: **only recordings made by users with assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise seats are automatically transcribed**. On Starter you keep the audio, with no searchable text.

## HubSpot’s power dialer: Enterprise only, one call at a time

HubSpot offers a [power dialer](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/use-the-sales-power) from the contacts index: select contacts, add them to the queue, start the session. Two conditions: a **Sales Hub Enterprise** subscription, and a configured HubSpot-provided number. The flow is sequential: after each call, the rep ends wrap-up time and the next call in the queue starts.

That’s a real gain over click-by-click calling. But it’s a single-line dialer: no page of the documentation we checked describes dialing several lines at once, or a [parallel dialer](https://skipcall.io/en/parallel-dialer). For a team on Professional, getting this power dialer means moving every rep to Enterprise.

## What the native calling tool really costs

The calling tool’s price is the edition’s price. For a team of 5 reps who want the native power dialer, the pricing page gives 5 × $150, or $750 a month at the displayed starting price, plus a required $3,500 onboarding fee, for 12,000 minutes a month across the account. On Professional, 5 × $90 = $450 a month on an annual commitment, plus $1,500 onboarding, with no power dialer and 3,000 minutes.

Those amounts pay for much more than telephony: sequences, workflows, forecasting, reporting. If you use those features, the edition justifies itself. If you’d upgrade only for the power dialer or for minutes, compare against a dedicated tool that plugs into the edition you already have.

## Alternatives to HubSpot’s native calling

The key point is in [HubSpot’s documentation](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/integrate-a-third-party-calling-provider-with-hubspot): **calls made through an integrated calling app don’t use your HubSpot minutes**. So the choice isn’t “HubSpot or nothing”, it’s “where do my reps place calls”.

**Stay on the HubSpot record with a third-party calling app.** Aircall, CloudTalk, JustCall or Ringover register as a calling provider: the rep clicks the call icon on the record and the app handles the call. A good fit for team telephony with inbound calls, IVR and call queues.

**Dial at volume from a synced dialer.** Skipcall, Orum or Nooks load your contacts and dial in their own interface, then write each call back to HubSpot. A good fit when the time lost between two conversations is the real problem.

Skipcall belongs to the second family. The HubSpot integration is native, and calls are launched **from Skipcall**, not from the HubSpot record: after each call, the record is updated with the activity, outcome and, depending on your settings, the recording, transcript and AI summary. The dialer runs as a power dialer or a parallel dialer on up to 4 lines, with AI voicemail detection and a pre-recorded voicemail drop. When a prospect answers, the other lines are cancelled while they’re still ringing, and those prospects see a missed call. The parallel dialer is included from the Starter plan, from $70 per user per month billed annually ([pricing](https://skipcall.io/en/pricing), [HubSpot integration](https://skipcall.io/en/integrations/hubspot)).

Skipcall doesn’t replace everything the native tool does: no call button on the HubSpot record, no IVR, no inbound call queues. For inbound call handling, a team phone system remains the better fit.

To pick the right line count, see [how many lines a parallel dialer should run](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/how-many-lines-parallel-dialer). For the general approach to connecting telephony and CRM, see our guide to [phone system CRM integration](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/phone-system-crm-integration).

## What to remember

- HubSpot’s calling tool is included from Sales Hub or Service Hub Starter: 500, 3,000 or 12,000 minutes a month by edition, pooled across the account. Free tools include none.
- On Starter you can’t buy minutes: an empty pool blocks new calls until the 1st of next month. Calls from a registered phone count double.
- HubSpot-provided numbers are limited (1, 3 or 5) and subject to each country’s rules.
- Transcription needs Professional or Enterprise seats; the native power dialer needs Sales Hub Enterprise and dials one line at a time.
- Third-party calling apps don’t use HubSpot minutes. To compare options, see the [best HubSpot dialers](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-hubspot-dialers).

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

**How many calling minutes does HubSpot include?**

According to HubSpot's pricing page checked on November 5, 2026: 500 minutes per month on Sales Hub Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 12,000 on Enterprise. Minutes are pooled across the whole account, not assigned per user, and reset on the first day of each month. HubSpot's free tools include no calling minutes.

**Can I buy more HubSpot calling minutes?**

Yes, but only with a Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription, per HubSpot's knowledge base. On Starter, once the pool runs out you can't start a new call until the first day of the next month. HubSpot doesn't publish the price of extra minutes on its public pricing page.

**Which countries can I get a HubSpot phone number in?**

HubSpot's list, last updated September 14, 2026, covers around fifty countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and most of Western Europe. Rules vary a lot: UK numbers need an approved regulatory bundle, French mobile numbers can no longer be registered, and calls to Japan from a HubSpot-registered number have the caller ID blocked.

**Does HubSpot have a power dialer?**

Yes, but only on Sales Hub Enterprise. Reps add contacts to a queue from the contacts index, then calls run one by one: the next call starts when the rep ends wrap-up time. A HubSpot-provided number must be configured. No page of the documentation we checked describes dialing several lines at once.

**Is call transcription included in HubSpot Starter?**

No. Per HubSpot's documentation, only recordings made by users with assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise seats are automatically transcribed. The pricing page lists 750 transcription hours per account per month on Professional and 1,500 on Enterprise. Call recording itself is available from Starter.

**Do calls made with Aircall, Skipcall or another tool use HubSpot minutes?**

No. HubSpot's documentation states that calls made through an integrated calling app don't use the account's calling minutes. HubSpot minutes only cover the native calling tool. Your telephony cost becomes whatever the chosen vendor charges.

**When should I move from HubSpot calling to a dedicated dialer?**

When one of three limits shows up: the pooled minutes no longer cover the team, the power dialer would force an Enterprise upgrade when the rest of Professional suits you, or the time lost to ringing and voicemail becomes the biggest block of the day. A multi-line dialer solves the third point, as long as you don't pile on lines.
