# Best Click-to-Call Chrome Extensions for Sales: 8 Checked in 2026

A click-to-call Chrome extension detects phone numbers shown in your browser and places the call in one click, with no copy and paste. But it does nothing on its own: it drives its vendor's phone system. We checked eight extensions on the Chrome Web Store and in official documentation on November 5, 2026: what they detect, what they require, what users rate them, and how to choose.

extensions on the list that can place a call without an account with their vendor: each one drives an existing phone system

A click-to-call Chrome extension is a small browser add-on that detects phone numbers on a web page and places the call in one click, from the rep’s business line. It provides no number and no minutes: it controls its vendor’s phone software, which makes choosing an extension, first of all, a choice of phone system. To find the number before you call it, see our comparison of [phone number finder Chrome extensions](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/phone-number-finder-chrome-extensions).

For a sales rep, the benefit is concrete. A number found on LinkedIn, in a directory, on a prospect’s website or in the CRM becomes clickable: no copy and paste, no missing country code, no swapped digits. We checked eight extensions from phone system vendors on the Chrome Web Store and in their official documentation on **November 5, 2026**: user count, rating, last update, features and requirements. Listing numbers change often; treat them as dated snapshots, not quality measurements.

## How does a click-to-call extension work?

The principle is the same across vendors, built from three pieces.

**Detection.** The extension scans the page text, including `tel:` links, and recognizes digit strings that look like phone numbers. The more advanced ones also read content inside embedded frames (iframes), which matters in CRMs. Detected numbers are underlined or get an icon next to them.

**Triggering.** Clicking the number, or right-clicking and choosing “Call”, sends it to the phone software: a desktop app, a web app open in another tab, or a side panel inside Chrome. The call goes out on the user’s line, with their business caller ID. That software is a softphone: our article [what is a softphone](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/what-is-a-softphone) explains how it works.

**Logging.** The call is then recorded in the phone system’s history and, if that system is connected to the CRM, on the contact record. The extension doesn’t sync anything itself: the vendor’s CRM integration does that job. Our guide to [phone system CRM integration](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/phone-system-crm-integration) covers those mechanics.

## The comparison table

Checked on the Chrome Web Store on November 5, 2026. The store shows user counts in rounded brackets. “Dialer queue” means the extension can send numbers detected on a page into an automated calling queue.

| Extension | Vendor | Users | Rating (reviews) | Last updated | Texting from page | Dialer queue |
| - | - | - | - | - | - | - |
| Ringover Dialer | Ringover | 10,000 | 5.0 (9) | Nov 4, 2026 | Yes | Yes |
| CloudTalk Click-to-Call | CloudTalk | 10,000 | 4.7 (23) | Oct 6, 2026 | Not mentioned | Yes (Smart Dialer) |
| Kixie PowerCall | Kixie | 30,000 | 4.5 (398) | Sep 26, 2026 | Yes | Not mentioned |
| JustCall Click To Call | SaaS Labs | 30,000 | 3.8 (50) | Oct 21, 2026 | Yes | Not mentioned |
| Aircall Dialer | Aircall | 100,000 | 2.8 (41) | Sep 9, 2026 | Not mentioned | Yes (Power Dialer) |
| Dialpad Chrome CTI | Dialpad | 60,000 | 3.1 (15) | Oct 14, 2026 | Yes | Not mentioned |
| RingCentral for Google | RingCentral | 200,000 | 1.8 (261) | Nov 4, 2026 | Yes | Not mentioned |
| 3CX Click2Call | 3CX | 200,000 | 2.0 (156) | Jul 30, 2024 | Not mentioned | No |

Two lessons stand out. First, popularity says nothing about satisfaction: the two most installed extensions are the lowest rated. They ship with widely used phone suites, and part of their installs likely comes from company-wide rollouts rather than individual choice. Second, ratings on the smaller extensions rest on few reviews: Ringover’s 5.0 comes from 9 ratings, which is a weak signal.

## 1. Ringover Dialer: a dialer in the side panel

### [Ringover](https://www.ringover.com/)

The [Ringover Dialer listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ringover-dialer-%E2%80%93-call-te/jjikmbicpomagidbcllljdgpphbelmmi) describes the most sales-oriented extension on this list. The dialer opens in the side panel of every tab, numbers on the page become clickable to call or text, and a Power Dialer mode works through a list of numbers from your CRM view. Settings let you choose where the dialer opens (web app, desktop app, side panel), exclude websites and tune number format recognition.

One catch: the older “Ringover Click2Call” extension is still in the store. Ringover’s support recommends removing it before installing the new one to avoid conflicts.

**Best for:** teams already on Ringover that want to call, text and run a calling session without leaving the CRM.

More: [Skipcall vs Ringover](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-ringover).

## 2. CloudTalk Click-to-Call: the most robust detection

### [CloudTalk](https://www.cloudtalk.io/)

According to its [listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/cloudtalk-click-to-call/mbgbeafnenfaffpbpkincpgpepjhekbm) and [help center](https://help.cloudtalk.io/en/articles/2964244-how-to-use-the-click-to-call-extension), CloudTalk’s extension also reads numbers inside iframes, offers “Paste” or “Dial” on right-click, and lets you select every number detected on a page to add it to the Smart Dialer. Calls go through the CloudTalk Phone app, desktop or web. Sign-in works with a CloudTalk account, Google or SSO. The listing names HubSpot, Salesforce, Zendesk and Outreach among supported sites.

CloudTalk is also upfront about limits: detection can fail on pages with dynamic elements or sandboxed pages, and a number without a country code gets the last code you used, which may be wrong. The help center recommends E.164 format (+1…).

**Best for:** reps who prospect from lists shown in a CRM or internal tool and want to turn them into a calling queue.

More: [Skipcall vs CloudTalk](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-cloudtalk).

## 3. Kixie PowerCall: best rated on a real review count

### [Kixie](https://www.kixie.com/)

At 4.5 out of 5 from 398 ratings, the [Kixie PowerCall listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kixie-powercall/bmdpeakaalmaaflnkckhjcojpemlkjig) has the best score on our list backed by a meaningful number of reviews. The extension adds call and text buttons next to detected numbers, surfaces CRM data during the call and lets you schedule a follow-up activity.

**Best for:** small sales teams that want calls and texts in one place, from a tool its users rate well.

More: [Skipcall vs Kixie](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-kixie).

## 4. JustCall: click-to-call in CRMs and on any page

### [JustCall](https://justcall.io/)

The [JustCall listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/justcall-click-to-call-fo/ahiickjmnblnnhjcomiegpdikaboegda), published by SaaS Labs, adds call and text buttons next to numbers in supported CRMs and lets you answer inbound calls from Chrome. On other pages, the [help center](https://help.justcall.io/en/articles/5210632-how-to-use-click-to-call-on-any-webpage-with-the-justcall-chrome-extension) says you highlight a number and use the right-click menu. The listing states that a paid JustCall account is required, starting at $25 per user per month.

**Best for:** teams that take as many calls as they make and want to handle both from the browser.

More: [Skipcall vs JustCall](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-justcall).

## 5. Aircall Dialer: click-to-dial and Power Dialer queue

### [Aircall](https://aircall.io/)

The [Aircall Dialer listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/aircall-dialer/bbejljcbaibhhacdpndojhkhckgdooff) and [Aircall’s help center](https://support.aircall.io/en-gb/articles/10375354868893) describe an extension that detects numbers, hidden ones included, flags duplicates and invalid numbers, and adds them one by one or in bulk to a Power Dialer session. Calls go to Aircall Workspace. Two prerequisites: the Power Dialer requires the Professional plan, and detecting a country’s local formats requires an Aircall number from that country. Chrome is the only officially supported browser, with Edge listed as compatible.

Its 2.8 out of 5 from 41 reviews contrasts with 100,000 users, a gap we see across the large phone suites.

**Best for:** Aircall teams on the Professional plan that want to feed Power Dialer sessions from the web.

More: [Skipcall vs Aircall](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-aircall).

## 6. Dialpad Chrome CTI: calls and texts, sites to allow

### [Dialpad](https://www.dialpad.com/)

The [Dialpad Chrome CTI listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dialpad-chrome-cti/lmecinlocgbbcdgbhkidmeijhdhlngjp) embeds Dialpad’s dialer in Chrome: call and text by hovering over numbers, plus communication history, contacts and status. One specific: it works without setup on preset Google sites, but other domains, such as an intranet or a CRM, must first be added in Dialpad settings. A second listing, “Dialpad Extension”, points to this one for newer features: install the right one.

**Best for:** companies already on Dialpad that spend much of the day in Gmail and Google Calendar.

More: [Skipcall vs Dialpad](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-dialpad).

## 7. RingCentral for Google: most installed, lowest rated

### [RingCentral](https://www.ringcentral.com/)

[RingCentral for Google](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ringcentral-for-google/fddhonoimfhgiopglkiokmofecgdiedb) goes beyond click-to-call: calls and texts from web pages, a shared SMS inbox, history, voicemail, transfers, fax, and meetings from Google Calendar. RingCentral’s [official page](https://ringcentral.com/call-from-browser.html) states that click-to-call is reserved for RingEX subscribers. At 1.8 out of 5 from 261 reviews, it has the lowest rating on the list.

**Best for:** RingEX customers organized around Google Workspace.

More: [Skipcall vs RingCentral](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-ringcentral).

## 8. 3CX Click2Call: for 3CX phone systems only

### [3CX](https://www.3cx.com/)

The [3CX Click2Call listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/3cx-click2call/baipgmmeifmofkcilhccccoipmjccehn) is explicit: the extension only works with 3CX V20 and is not standalone. It turns numbers into links and sends the call to the 3CX web client or the Windows softphone, with a URL exclusion list. Its last update is dated July 30, 2024, the oldest in our snapshot.

**Best for:** companies already running a 3CX V20 phone system that just want to click to call.

More: [Skipcall vs 3CX](https://skipcall.io/en/comparatif/skipcall-vs-3cx).

## What about Skipcall? A Click to Call extension in the works

Skipcall isn’t ranked here for a simple reason: its extension isn’t available yet. The [Skipcall Click to Call](https://skipcall.io/en/features/click-to-call) browser extension is in preparation, with no release date announced. Here’s what it will do, according to the feature page:

- it **will detect** numbers shown on any page (CRM, LinkedIn, directories, company websites, webmail), including `tel:` links, and **will normalize** them to international format;
- one click **will place** the call from your Skipcall line, and the same menu **will let** you send a text;
- calls and texts **will be** attached to the contact in Skipcall, then synced to HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce or Attio through the existing integration;
- it **will be** included in every plan at no extra cost.

Today, calls and texts are placed from the Skipcall app, on the web and on [mobile](https://skipcall.io/en/features/application-mobile), with numbers in 14 countries. To work through a list, the [power dialer](https://skipcall.io/en/power-dialer) and the [parallel dialer](https://skipcall.io/en/parallel-dialer) on up to 4 lines are already live. They run from Skipcall: as of today, there’s no Skipcall call button inside the CRM record. The Business VoIP plan starts at $25 per user per month billed annually, and the parallel dialer is included from the Starter plan, at $70 per month billed annually (see [pricing](https://skipcall.io/en/pricing)).

**Avoid if:** you need browser click-to-call right now: the extensions above are available, Skipcall’s isn’t yet.

## How to choose a click-to-call extension

Five questions do the sorting.

1. **What phone system do you already have?** If your company is equipped, take your vendor’s extension: none of them works with another vendor’s phone system. If you’re starting from scratch, compare the plans first, their numbers by country and their [CRM integration](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/phone-system-crm-integration); our roundup of the [best softphone apps for sales](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-softphone-apps-for-sales) reviews eight of them.
2. **Where do your reps work?** If they live in a specific CRM, check that the extension detects numbers there: CloudTalk and Dialpad document pages or domains where detection needs setup or fails.
3. **Calls only, or calls and texts?** If texting is part of your sequences, rule out extensions that don’t offer it from the page.
4. **One click or a calling queue?** Click-to-call serves one-off calls. For 60 calls in an afternoon you need an automated dialer: Aircall, CloudTalk and Ringover can send numbers from a page into one. Our [which dialer quiz](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/which-dialer-quiz) helps you decide, and our roundup of [sales dialer software](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-sales-dialer-software) goes further.
5. **What data can the extension read?** To find numbers, it reads page content, so your customer records. Check the permissions Chrome requests at install, the vendor’s privacy policy, and whether you can exclude sites (Ringover and 3CX offer it).

## Click-to-call and compliance: what doesn’t change

A faster click doesn’t change any obligation. In the US, the TCPA’s calling-hours rule (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the recipient’s local time) and the National Do Not Call Registry still apply, and several states add their own rules. Texting prospects from a local business number also requires A2P 10DLC registration with the carriers, plus consent that holds up under the TCPA. Our [cold calling compliance checker](https://skipcall.io/en/tools/cold-calling-compliance-checker) summarizes rules by country; it isn’t legal advice.

On the data side, the extension processes personal information shown in your tools. Treat it as one more vendor in your security review, with its own terms on data storage and access.

## What to remember

A click-to-call Chrome extension saves a few seconds per call and removes dialing errors, but it’s only the interface of a phone system. The right choice starts with the plan: numbers, call quality, CRM integration, price. Among the extensions checked on November 5, 2026, Ringover and CloudTalk are the most complete for sales, Kixie the best rated on a real review count, and JustCall the most versatile across outbound and inbound. Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral and 3CX mainly serve companies already on their platforms.

At Skipcall, the [Click to Call](https://skipcall.io/en/features/click-to-call) extension will come later, included in every plan. For teams that spend their days on the phone, the bigger gain lies elsewhere: working through calls with a dialer instead of clicking number by number. Our guide to the [best HubSpot dialers](https://skipcall.io/en/blog/best-hubspot-dialers) picks up from there.

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

**What is a click-to-call Chrome extension?**

It's a browser extension that detects phone numbers shown on a web page (CRM, LinkedIn, directories, company websites, webmail) and makes them clickable. One click places the call from the user's business line, with no copying or switching apps. The extension doesn't provide the line: it controls its vendor's phone system.

**Are click-to-call Chrome extensions free?**

Installing them from the Chrome Web Store costs nothing, but none of the eight extensions we checked can place a call without an account with the vendor. JustCall states it plainly on its listing: a paid JustCall account is required, starting at $25 per user per month. The real cost is the phone plan behind the extension.

**What's the difference between click-to-call and click-to-dial?**

In practice, none: vendors use both terms for the same feature. Aircall says Click-to-Dial, 3CX says Click2Call, CloudTalk and JustCall say Click-to-Call. In every case, clicking a number shown in the browser places the call through the phone software.

**Do click-to-call extensions work on every website?**

Not always. CloudTalk's help center warns that detection may fail on pages with dynamic elements or sandboxed pages, and suggests right-click dialing as a fallback. Dialpad works out of the box only on preset Google sites: other domains must be added in its settings. Numbers without a country code are another common source of errors.

**Can I send texts from a click-to-call extension?**

Some extensions allow it. According to their official listings, Ringover, Kixie, JustCall, Dialpad and RingCentral offer both calls and texts from the page. The Aircall, CloudTalk and 3CX listings only mention calling. In the US, business texting still requires A2P 10DLC registration on local numbers and TCPA-compliant consent, whatever interface you send from.

**Does Skipcall have a click-to-call extension?**

Not yet. Skipcall is preparing a Click to Call browser extension that will let reps call or text from any web page, included in every plan. No release date has been announced. In the meantime, calls and texts are placed from the Skipcall app, on the web and on mobile.

**Is a click-to-call extension a data privacy risk?**

It reads page content to find numbers, which can include CRM records and personal data. Before rolling one out, review the permissions Chrome shows at install, the vendor's privacy policy, whether you can exclude specific sites, and how the tool fits your security review and data processing agreements.
