# Allo alternatives: 8 solutions compared (2026)

Allo is there first of all to answer calls, Skipcall is there to place them. This page says straight away which reader it is not for, then brings together what a decision maker needs to know: the publishing company, its public pricing, data hosting, verifiable reviews, and a method for putting a figure on what a missed call costs.

CEO & Co-Founder, Skipcall

Data verified on 3 September 2026

The essentials

- Allo is published by The Mobile-First Company (MOBILE-FIRST SAS), registered with the Créteil trade register under number 978 534 543, with its French head office in Vincennes.
- The product is built around answering calls: AI receptionist, a switchboard twenty-four hours a day, voice menu, routing. Skipcall offers none of these functions and does not seek to replace them.
- The two tools therefore meet on one point only, placing calls. Allo answers that with a power dialler billed at €50 per month per team, which dials one number at a time.
- The Business plan is listed at €35 per user per month on annual billing, €45 on monthly billing. The AI receptionist is billed at the price of an extra Business seat.
- On 30 October 2025 the company announced a $12 million funding round led by Base10 Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, and the move of its US head office to Miami.

## Answering calls or placing them: two different problems

Better to say it now than in the tenth paragraph. Allo and Skipcall do not solve the same problem, and a line by line comparison between the two would make no sense. Here is what each vendor announces on its own features page.

Allo

Handling inbound calls

- AI receptionist that answers, qualifies and books meetings
- Phone switchboard and voice menu, with or without AI
- Cascading or simultaneous call routing, transfers, blocking
- Voicemail turned into text and automatic SMS on a missed call
- Power dialler as an option, working through a list one number at a time

Skipcall

Placing calls in volume

- Power dialler and four line parallel dialler
- AI answering machine detection, which screens out voicemails before the pickup
- Call sequences, contacts and task management
- Call transcription, call summary and write back to the CRM
- Phone line from $25 per month for the rest of the company

Read this before anything else. If your need is to answer calls you are missing today, Skipcall is not your answer: the product has no AI voice agent, no voice menu, no call queue and no inbound call routing. In that case, compare Allo with Aircall or Ringover, not with a prospecting dialler. The rest of this page only becomes useful if your problem is placing calls.

## The 8 solutions at a glance

Eight vendors, three families of product. Telling them apart avoids comparing an automated receptionist with a prospecting dialler, which remains the most common mistake in this market.

Skipcall occupies the right hand half. The same platform equips sales reps with the four line parallel dialler, and the rest of the company with a line from $25 per month. It does not move back to the left: no automated call handling, no inbound routing. That is a choice of scope, not a temporary gap.

## Who Allo is

Allo is the flagship product of The Mobile-First Company, whose registered name is MOBILE-FIRST SAS. The company is registered with the Créteil trade register under number 978 534 543 and its French head office is at 110 rue de Fontenay, in Vincennes. It was founded in 2023 by Jérémy Goillot, previously at Spendesk, and Franco Pinto. On 30 October 2025 it announced a $12 million funding round led by Base10 Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, claimed 5,000 business customers and the move of its US head office to Miami. So this is a young, funded vendor in a phase of international expansion.

## What the public reviews say

For a recent vendor, the question is not only what the rating is, but how many reviews make it up. Here is the exact state of the two platforms consulted on 3 September 2026.

Trustpilot

22 reviews

4.1

/ 5

The profile is flagged as unclaimed by the company, and Trustpilot states that the vendor does not invite its customers to leave a review. The rating exists, then, but it rests on a small and unsolicited sample.

Capterra

no reviews published

No reviews

The product listing exists and describes the feature scope, but it carries no user reviews. There is no way to cross check two platforms, as you would for a vendor that has been around for ten years.

Across twenty two reviews, a shift of two or three ratings is enough to change the average. Take this distribution for what it is: a weak signal, to be confirmed by a trial on your own calls rather than by a rating.

Review volume is still low

Twenty two reviews on Trustpilot, none on Capterra. At that level, two or three more reviews move the average by a tenth of a point. Read the reviews one by one rather than the overall rating.

A polarised distribution

68% five star reviews and 27% one star reviews, with almost nothing in between. That is the signature of a young product whose fit depends heavily on the use case: it suits you very well, or not at all.

A recent vendor

The company was founded in 2023 and closed its first significant funding round at the end of October 2025. There is not yet enough hindsight on contract lifespan, pricing policy and roadmap stability.

A widening scope

The vendor says it wants to extend its range beyond the phone and has moved its US head office to Miami. Worth factoring in if you are picking a supplier for several years.

## Where the data is hosted

This is the point most often missing from comparisons, and the first one your legal department will raise. On a tool that records, transcribes and summarises every call, the volume of personal data produced is considerable.

Allo

Amazon Web Services, region not specified

The privacy policy names Amazon Web Services as the hosting provider without stating the country of the servers. It also names several subprocessors (Vonage for SMS, Customer.io, RevenueCat, Sentry, PostHog, AppsFlyer) and acknowledges that some are established outside the European Union, with transfers covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

Skipcall

Scaleway, France

Hosting is handled by a French cloud provider, which places processing under the GDPR and European law, any transfer outside the EU being covered by the DPA.

This difference is not a criticism: hosting with an American provider is perfectly lawful as long as transfers are covered. It becomes a decision criterion only if your organisation requires a European location, which is common in healthcare, the public sector and financial services.

## The real cost of entry

Allo publishes its prices, which makes a direct comparison possible. Two options change the headline bill: the AI receptionist, billed at the price of an extra Business seat, and the power dialler, billed per team rather than per user.

The Skipcall licence, however, dials four lines instead of one and screens out answering machines. So what separates the two is the cost per conversation, not the cost per licence. ## The cost of a missed call, and how to measure it

Before choosing between answering better and calling more, you need to know what each option brings in. The calculation takes four steps, with data you already hold. It stays valid whichever tool you settle on in the end, Allo included.

01

Step 1

Actually count the unanswered calls over one month

- Export the call log for a full month from your operator, not a week you consider representative
- Separate three distinct cases: call with no answer, call that reached voicemail, call hung up before pickup
- Remove repeat calls from the same number within the hour, which amount to a single missed opportunity

The trap. Counting every attempt as a lost customer. A prospect who calls back twenty minutes later was never lost, and counting them twice artificially doubles the shortfall.

02

Step 2

Estimate the value of an inbound call for your business

- Divide the revenue signed over twelve months by the number of inbound calls received over the same period
- Run the calculation again by origin: a callback from an existing customer and a first contact are not worth the same
- Take out of the calculation the share of calls that belong to support rather than to sales

The trap. Applying the average value of a customer to every missed call. The right unit is the value of a call, which already accounts for the fact that most lead to no sale at all.

03

Step 3

Run the same calculation for an outbound call

- Record, over the same period, the number of calls placed, conversations obtained and meetings booked
- Divide the revenue from outbound prospecting by the number of calls placed
- Measure the time actually spent on the phone per sales rep per day, separately from the number of calls

The trap. Thinking in cost per call rather than cost per conversation. Two tools at the same price per licence do not put your sales reps into conversation the same number of times.

04

Step 4

Decide with figures rather than with intuition

- Put the value of a recovered inbound call side by side with that of an extra outbound call
- Set each against the full monthly cost of the tool that produces it, options and licences included
- Set a quarter of observation, then take the readings again instead of freezing the decision once and for all

The trap. Choosing the most visible channel. Missed calls appear in a log, calls never placed appear nowhere: the second shortfall is often the larger one and always the quieter one.

The record sheet

The 5 figures to record before choosing between answering better and calling more

An hour of work on your own data is worth more than three sales demos. These five figures are enough to settle it.

1. 01 The number of unanswered inbound calls over a full month, duplicates removed
2. 02 The average value of an inbound call, revenue divided by the number of calls received
3. 03 The number of outbound calls placed per sales rep per day, recorded rather than estimated
4. 04 The outbound pickup rate, conversations divided by attempts
5. 05 The full monthly cost of each option, options and minimum licences included

## French law from 11 August 2026

This is the factor most comparisons ignore, even though it changes the economics of phone prospecting in France.

French law of 30 June 2025

From 11 August 2026, cold calling consumers in France moves from opt out to opt in: a call is lawful only if the person has given prior consent. Bloctel, the French opt out register, disappears on that date. Business to business prospecting remains possible, subject to the rules that apply to data processing.

The direct consequence for the decision covered on this page: the number of permitted outbound calls falls, so each attempt has to produce more. Symmetrically, the value of an inbound call rises, since it comes from someone who chose to contact you. Both sides of the comparison move, which is one more reason to put figures on them rather than estimate them.

## What to check before switching

01

What happens to your inbound call handling

This is the first question, and it is a deal breaker. If Allo answers your inbound calls today, a prospecting dialler will not take over. Decide who picks up tomorrow before looking at anything else.

02

Porting your numbers

Your numbers belong to you and can be ported from one operator to another. Ask your current provider for the information you need and start the process before you terminate: the order of operations determines whether service continues.

03

Exporting transcripts and history

Recordings, transcripts, summaries, call logs: ask for the export while the account is still active. On a tool that produces written data with every call, the history carries a real share of the value you have built up.

04

The real scope of your CRM integration

List what reaches your CRM today, field by field, and check that the equivalent will exist tomorrow. That is where the gaps sit, more than in the calling functions themselves.

## What is your real need?

Three use cases, three families of tool. Most bad choices come from confusing the first with the third.

What is your need?

Answer every inbound call

Automated call handling

Allo · Aircall · Ringover

Equip a contact centre

Call centre software

CloudTalk · JustCall

Place calls in volume

French parallel dialler

Skipcall · Flunter · Minari

Allo belongs to the first family. Looking there for a prospecting dialler is like asking a receptionist to do a job they were never meant to do. The reverse is just as true: asking Skipcall to answer on your behalf makes no sense, since the product has no call handling functions at all.

## Who each solution is for

Allo remains the right choice if

- your problem is answering: missed calls, no switchboard, cover needed outside office hours
- you want an automated receptionist without building a customer service team
- your outbound call volume stays moderate and dialling by hand does not slow you down
- you are equipping a small team and cost per seat is the dominant criterion

An alternative makes sense if

- your problem is calling out: dialling time and answering machines eat into your sales reps sessions
- you need parallel dialling rather than one number at a time
- hosting data in the European Union is a requirement from your legal department
- you want a single platform for the sales team and for the phones of the rest of the company

Nothing stops you doing both. Some teams keep a call handling tool for inbound and add a dialler for the sales reps, with two contracts. That is a legitimate choice as long as it is made knowingly, rather than endured for want of having put figures on both needs.

Key difference

## One plan per person, not one licence for the whole team

In a team of ten, needs are not the same. An SDR placing hundreds of calls a day, an account executive placing a handful and a head of sales who mainly needs a business line have no business being on the same plan. The usual market model still has all ten taking the same licence.

Everyone on their own plan, on one account

An SDR on the Expert plan, an account executive on Starter, a founder on the Business VoIP line. The plan follows the person's usage rather than the team average, and it changes without changing account: the number, the call history and the contacts stay.

Everything in one interface

Many parallel diallers plug into a telephony provider you contract separately: two tools, two invoices, two support desks. Here the line, the dialler, the contacts and the sequences sit in the same tool.

From one licence, with no tier imposed

No minimum of three, six or nine licences to reach the right offering. One invoice for the company, itemised user by user.

Worth checking with Allo: whether each team member can sit on a different plan, or whether the licence you choose applies to everyone. [Multi-plan in detail](https://skipcall.io/en/features/multi-plan).

## Frequently asked questions

**What is the best Allo alternative in 2026? +**

It depends on what you are trying to replace. If you want to keep automated call handling, the alternatives are Aircall, Ringover or CloudTalk, which cover the switchboard, the voice menu and inbound call routing. If your real need is to place more calls rather than receive them better, the comparison changes family: prospecting diallers such as Skipcall, Flunter or Minari in France answer a completely different problem. Choosing in the wrong family is the most common mistake.

**Do Allo and Skipcall do the same thing? +**

No, and it is more useful to say so plainly. Allo is built around answering calls: AI receptionist, switchboard, voice menu, cascading or simultaneous routing. Skipcall offers no AI voice agent, no voice menu, no call queue and no inbound call routing. Skipcall is there to place calls in volume, with a four line parallel dialler and automatic answering machine detection. The two products overlap on one point only: dialling outbound calls.

**How much does Allo actually cost? +**

The Business plan is listed at €35 per user per month on annual billing, and €45 on monthly billing. The Ultra plan is €100 per user per month annually, €120 monthly. Two options change the bill: the AI receptionist, billed at the price of an extra Business seat, and the power dialler, at €50 per month per team. A Solo plan at €10 per month is announced as coming. There is no minimum number of licences and no setup fee, and a seven day free trial is offered on the Business plan.

**Does Allo have a parallel dialler? +**

Allo’s features page describes a power dialler, presented as a way of working through a call list without dialling by hand. No parallel or predictive dialling mode is announced there. The power dialler is offered as an option, at €50 per month per team.

**Who is behind Allo? +**

Allo is published by The Mobile-First Company, whose registered name is MOBILE-FIRST SAS, registered with the Créteil trade register under number 978 534 543 and with its French head office at 110 rue de Fontenay in Vincennes. The company was founded in 2023 by Jérémy Goillot and Franco Pinto. On 30 October 2025 it announced a $12 million funding round led by Base10 Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with the move of its US head office to Miami.

**Where is Allo customer data hosted? +**

Allo’s privacy policy names Amazon Web Services as the hosting provider, without specifying the region of the servers. It names several other subprocessors, including Vonage for sending SMS, and states that some of them may be established outside the European Union, with transfers covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. If the location of recordings matters to you, ask for it in writing before you sign.

**Are the user reviews of Allo any good? +**

The Trustpilot profile for withallo.com shows 4.1 out of 5 across 22 reviews as of 3 September 2026, with a polarised distribution: 68% five star reviews and 27% one star reviews. Trustpilot flags an unclaimed profile and a company that does not invite its customers to leave a review. The Capterra listing carried no reviews at the same date. The volume is therefore still too low to draw a trend from: read the reviews individually rather than the average.

**Is Allo suitable for outbound phone prospecting? +**

Allo lets you place calls and offers a power dialler as an option, which suits a moderate outbound volume. Its dialling stays sequential, one number after another, and no automatic answering machine detection is announced. As soon as prospecting becomes the core of the business, what separates the tools is the number of conversations obtained per hour worked, not the price of a seat.

**Can you keep your numbers when leaving Allo? +**

Yes. Numbers can be ported from one operator to another, and Allo advertises free porting of existing numbers when you join. Ask your current provider for the details needed for porting and start the process before you terminate, so that service is never interrupted.

**Is there a French alternative to Allo for outbound prospecting? +**

Yes. Skipcall, Flunter and Minari are published in France and focus on placing calls. Skipcall dials four lines in parallel, screens out answering machines with AI and hosts its data with Scaleway, in France. A single licence is enough to start, from $70 per month for a seat equipped with the dialler, or $25 per month for a plain phone line.

**Do you have to choose between answering better and calling more? +**

Not necessarily, but you have to put figures on both before deciding. Count the inbound calls that went unanswered over a full month, estimate the average value of an inbound call, run the same calculation for an outbound call, then set each amount against the cost of the tool that produces it. The detailed method is higher up this page. The most common bias is to see only the missed calls, which appear in a log, and to ignore the calls never placed, which appear nowhere.
